The Manager of Clinical Advocacy provides strategic and operational support to Global Health & Wellbeing (GHW) with a focus on clinical and regulatory compliance of key programs and initiatives to guide, educate, and improve the health and wellbeing of employees and their families. Collaborates with Wellbeing teams and business unit leaders to ensure clinical programs are meeting objectives and deliverables. The Clinical Advocacy Manager is responsible for the oversight of daily activities of clinical and occupational health programs, as well as the development and implementation of processes for tracking and monitoring team and program performance of clinical and occupational health direct reports. Communicates with external agencies including OSHA, CDC, both domestic and international health departments to promote health and safety for our employees and passengers. Supports the Global Health & Wellbeing team in advocating for and environment that fosters health, safety, and wellbeing.
Leads daily operations of RN professionals and Occupational Health direct reports to assure they are achieving desired outcomes and practicing within their scope of work.
Develops processes and metrics to track and monitor performance of team
Delegates tasks within the scope of direct reports to assure they meet their role responsibilities and are supporting operational needs
+ Leads ongoing continuous improvement of team focus; identifies opportunities to increase effectiveness and efficiency of daily work and projects supported by direct reports.
+ Leads decision making to find the best solution to address challenges within their team to assure strategies align with organizational goals and values.
+ Is the subject matter expert who provides advice and collaborates with key stakeholders to support cross-divisional projects, programs, and initiatives to improve health safety and compliance standards.
+ Liaises with external agencies including OSHA, CDC, both domestic and international health departments to promote health and safety for our employees and passengers.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ RN License
+ 2 or more years of leadership and management experience
+ Experience in working with Lean Management Systems
+ Broad clinical or nursing knowledge in the clinical oremployee health setting
+ Strong decision-making, problem-solving, projectmanagement and communication skills demonstrating sound and independentjudgement
+ Strong departmental and cross-divisional collaborationskills
+ Strong team player, detail oriented and able to performunder pressure
+ Essential time management skills to execute tasks withina set time frame or deadline
+ Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks anddeadlines
+ Ability to thoughtfully engage and develop team members
+ Flexibility with handling changing priorities anddeadlines
+ Proficient in Microsoft applications and electronicmedical records
+ Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self,others, and personal data.
+ Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
+ Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to workin the United States
+ If internal, must beperforming satisfactorily in present position
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
+ Experience in airlineindustry is a plus.
+ Current certification from the American Board for Occupational Health Nurses (ABOHN)
+ Current certification from American Academy of Ambulatory Care Nursing (AAACN)
+ Experience with managing telehealth or customer care telephonic services
