Job Details:
The Manager, Clinical Pharmacy Services is responsible for directing the design and implementation of clinical pharmacy services to ensure efficient and effective pharmaceutical care. This role involves integration of quality improvement philosophies and techniques into service delivery and ensuring compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. Also, this person is responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of clinical pharmacy service, particularly in collaboration with trade partners to onboard new therapies. The manager will develop and manage new pharmaceutical programs for outpatient services, specifically tailored for Integrated Delivery Network (IDN) partners. Additionally, the manager will oversee the department’s operations, including managing a help desk to support staff and patients. Participate in and support various inter and intra department committees to promote the role of pharmacy in delivery of optimum patient care. Participate in educational and research initiatives in line with the mission of the organization.
Responsibilites
Service Design and Implementation: Directing the design and implementation of clinical pharmacy services to ensure efficient and effective pharmaceutical care
Quality Improvement: Integrating quality improvement philosophies and techniques into service delivery
Compliance: ensuring that all services comply with state and federal laws and regulations
Policy Development: Creating and updating policies to ensure compliance and optimize service delivery
Program Development: Designing and implementing new pharmaceutical programs, particularly for outpatient services and in collaboration with partnering IDN’s
Committee Participation: Participating in and supporting various inter- and intra-department committees to promote the role of pharmacy in delivering optimal patient care
Educational and Research Initiatives: Engaging in educational and research initiatives aligned with CarepathRx’s mission
Directs the daily clinical operations of pharmacy in accordance with patient care needs, department strategic plan, and appropriate accreditation standards
Maintain productive, collaborative relationships with partners, inter and intra departmental managers and others in leadership roles to achieve short and long-term goals for related programs and patient services
Assist with the preparation and monitor the budget for areas of responsibility, including drug and personnel costs
Maximize technology to design and implement operational services to create efficiencies and to meet current regulations/standards
Assist with the recruitment, hiring and mentoring staff and colleagues through feedback, positive discipline, and performance evaluations. Enforce progressive corrective action appropriately
Facilitate staff involvement in established departmental programs, e.g., quality improvement, patient/professional education, and staff development. Develop staff advancement opportunities and foster an environment conducive to innovation and progressive learning
Maintain a current body of knowledge in the areas of their service regarding drug therapy and technology
Participate in the transition of partners from implementation to operations. Provide ongoing oversight and provide problem resolutions to strengthen the partner relations and experience
Participate in the education of Pharm.D. students, PGY1 residents, and other pharmacy staff by serving as preceptor and role model as defined by the guidelines and requirements of the Department of Pharmacy
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
B.S./PharmD degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy
3-5 years of pharmacy experience, preferred
Completed Pharmacy Residency, preferred
Active Board Pharmacy Certification, preferred
3 years of hospital or home infusion experience preferred
3 year of management experience or related experience preferred
Willingness to obtain licenses in multiple states.
