Manager, Cloud Infrastructure Engineering

Position Overview:

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer with some management experience to build and manage a team of Cloud Infrastructure Engineers that will help our team establish DevOps best practices. You will help implement continuous integration and deployment processes, develop automation and presentation layer around Kubernetes deployment of our products, and contribute to our micro-service architecture and implementation. 

Please note this is a remote role.

Position Details: 
•    Hire, lead and motivate a remote team of experienced Cloud Engineers in the US.
•    Roadmap execution through backlog management and sprint planning in Jira to prioritize value-driven business outcomes
•    Lead the growth and improvement of our highly scalable data management ecosystem to adapt and support the evolving needs of our business partners
•    Use your innate problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and internal drive to continually grow, develop, and hone your craft
•    Closely partner with our Business Engagement Analysts, Data Scientists, and Business Customers to identify, prioritize, scope, and deliver value-driven data solutions
•    Influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices, and procedures.
•    Adapts departmental plans and priorities to address resource and operational challenges.

Required Skills:
•    3+ years of experience as a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
•    1-2 years of team leadership or management experience
•    Ability to balance, prioritize multiple projects, and remain calm under pressure.
•    3+ years Kubernetes and Helm experience a must
•    3+ years Git + CI/CD (Gitlab preferred)
•    3+ years Major cloud provider tooling (AWS, Azure, GCP)
•    3+ years with VM tooling (Packer, etc.) - desirable
•    3+ years configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Pulumi)
•    General programming/scripting skills (e.g. Python, Go Lang, Node.js + Express.js, TypeScript)
•    Agile / Lean

Valued Skills:
•    Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
•    The ability to translate compliance requirements to technical controls
•    Experience with a cloud container service (EKS, AKS, GKE)
•    A strong desire to work with new and upcoming technologies
•    Build and maintain highly available systems
•    Passion for building and growing a high performing team


Compensation
Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. 


The salary range for this role in California, Colorado, Washington, Texas, and Rhode Island is $160,000 - $184,400.


In addition, you may be eligible for other compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
