Job Overview
This role demands a proactive and strategic leader capable of not only laying the groundwork for market success but also managing and developing a high-performing team. The People Manager will oversee the execution of tailored market strategies, drive team alignment with business objectives, and empower field marketing and sales teams for seamless execution. By fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence, the Commercial Development Manager ensures readiness well ahead of market launches and plays a critical role in driving long-term growth and scalability.

Leadership Responsibilities:

- Team Development & Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Commercial Development Managers. Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and create professional growth opportunities.

- Strategic Oversight: Coordinate the team’s development of market intelligence frameworks, competitive analyses, and readiness strategies. Ensure alignment with company goals and Quarterly Growth Plan (QGP) targets.

- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for high-level stakeholders, including local governments, permitting offices, MDUs, and PR teams, ensuring the team cultivates relationships and drives readiness across markets.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Market Leadership:

- Direct the team to establish strong foundations for market success by gathering intelligence, identifying opportunities, and creating frameworks to support field teams.

- Review and approve go-to-market (GTM) playbooks developed by the team, ensuring alignment with market-specific needs and demographics.

Data-Driven Planning and Execution:

- Guide the team in using industry, competitive, and consumer insights to inform strategies.

- Supervise team analyses of Total Addressable Market (TAM), penetration strategies, and SWOT evaluations to maintain a competitive edge.

Sales Enablement:

- Collaborate with senior leaders in sales to evaluate enablement needs.

- Lead the team in developing tools, training resources, and programmatic approaches that enhance operational excellence.

Community and Relationship Building:

- Empower the team to develop long-term partnerships with local authorities, community leaders, and key players to facilitate GTM readiness.

- Serve as an escalation point for critical community and stakeholder issues.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Act as the liaison between cross-functional teams and senior leadership. Ensure the team’s outputs align with overall activation and penetration targets.

- Be responsible for the establishment of robust feedback loops to refine and optimize programs.

Tactical Oversight:

- Guide the team in designing localized tactics in collaboration with marketing and sales channels.

- Ensure alignment between long-term strategies and market-specific initiatives.

Communications, Advertising, Marketing (Required)

Work Experience:

4-7 years Sales planning, digital agency, online advertising or sales operations (Required)Less than 2 years people management experience – direct preferred, indirect considered (Required)

Base Pay Range: $94,200 - $169,900

Corporate Bonus Target: 15%

The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.

At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
