Overview:
Reporting to the VP of Americas HR and in partnership with the central Global Total Rewards team, the Americas Compensation & Benefits Manager will provide compensation & benefits expertise and support to the HR teams in the Americas retail region. You will lead compensation and benefits reviews and support local HR teams on implementation. You will provide general compensation support at the individual and program level (e.g., commissions, incentives, annual compensation processes) to ensure equity and alignment with global compensation practices. You will provide guidance to HR team members in areas such as HRIS data administration, reporting, compliance, budgeting, tax, payroll.
Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
Compensation & Benefits Reviews and Execution
Compensation Consultation: Serve as an internal consultant to support and advise HR, talent and business managers on compensation-related activities including new hire offers, promotions, transfers, salary adjustments, business realignments, etc. Job & Salary Infrastructure: Conduct regular benchmarking analyses and job-level assessments to update and maintain externally competitive salary grade structures and ensure alignment with Tiffany compensation practices and job family structure. Variable Pay Design: Lead the design and analysis of commission and/or reward schemes to ensure the schemes support key business objectives, drive performance, and align with global practices. Monitor effectiveness of current programs and make recommendations for changes, model cost impact and present recommendations. Market Reconnaissance: Through survey participation and analysis and networking opportunities, lead the gathering of insights on competitive pay and benefits practices for luxury retailers. Benefits (Non-US): Manage the consultants and service providers to initiate or schedule insurance plan renewals for LATAM and Canada, and manage the retirement governance process. Communications & Education: Create materials to effectively communicate compensation and benefits plans, policies and practices to the HR team, employees and managers. Compliance: Ensure pay and benefit practices are compliant with US federal and state requirements (i.e., FLSA, minimum wage, overtime, etc.) and requirements for each country in which we operate. Collaboration: Ability to work cross-functionally to participate in projects and activities based on business requirements.Compensation & Benefits Policies and Practices
Establish & manage compensation and benefits policies, guidelines & practices that are locally appropriate and aligned with global standards. Contribute to development of HR service and delivery of HR projects and initiatives. Liaise with finance team on tax related matters.Data Maintenance, Reporting, HR Systems & Process Support
Provide leadership, guidance and support on annual global compensation processes (merit, bonus, long term incentives) by working with HR partners, line managers, and upper management to ensure process runs smoothly and is completed in a timely manner, Partner with HR Systems and other teams as appropriate (e.g., Americas Finance, Payroll, Employee Services) to ensure access to relevant reports and data. Design and build compensation metrics, reports and tools to inform compensation program decisions and analyze business outcomes. Produce ad hoc analyses with quick turnarounds. Develop and implement appropriate audits to maintain data accuracy in Oracle HCM. Act as a regional contact on system support; communicate new function launches and updates. Troubleshoot data issues more broadly as they arise, pro-actively address known data problems.
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or related required. 5+ years' experience administering compensation and benefits programs Outstanding analytical skills, with significant experience in efficiently gathering and manipulating data to perform quantitative and qualitative data analyses with analytical tools, especially MS Excel Direct experience with project management, preferably in process improvement Strong ability to communicate rationale for decisions in writing and to explain analyses to HR partners, line managers and business leaders Leads with strong judgement and integrity in approaching their work; able to maturely handle sensitive and confidential information Strong interpersonal skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills, to interface with all levels of internal and external employees, as well as external consultants and vendors, in a matrix reporting environment. Able to work independently and take initiative Able to support and prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressurePreferred:
SHRM, PHR or CCP certification Deep expertise in compensation work (creating and managing systems and structures to support compensation philosophy and policies) Previous work experience and working knowledge of sales compensation process and analysis Experience in health education and promotionThe hiring range for this position ranges from $129,625 - $183,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
