Manager, Competitive Intelligence & Analytics

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Manager of Competitive Intelligence & Analytics to join our Marketing team. This role will be responsible for leveraging data to drive optimize pricing and marketing strategies and enhance customer communications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Marketing specific data analytics or data sciences, including experience mining data stored in CDP, pricing elasticity analyses, store media target analyses, mystery shopping and pricing audits etc.

Duties and Responsibilities

Gathers information on competitors, analyses their prices and promotions, discounting structures to develop strategies. Mines existing data systems such as webscraping and syndicated data to identify trends, patterns, and insights to inform marketing strategies. Develops and implements models to track competitive pricing so inform pricing and discounting strategies. Builds and maintains pricing elasticity models to help optimize pricing strategies and maximize revenue. Collaborate with other marketing teams, including pricing, performance marketing and CRM to integrate data-driven insights into decision-making processes. Presents findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders Stays updated with the latest trends and advancements in marketing data science and marketing analytics.    Manage syndicated share data providers such as NielsenIQ and Circana

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, or a related field. Master's degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in data science or analytics, with a focus on Marketing data Strong consumer data skills with the ability to interpret complex data and generate actionable insights. Experience building price elasticity models, consumer segmentation, or similar Familiarity and experience with analytics and data visualization software (e.g., SQL, R, Python, SPSS, SAS, DOMO etc) Experience working with consumer offtake data (internal POS, syndicated data from NielsenIQ, Circana).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience with marketing department transformation preferred. Customer service oriented, recognizing the importance of client services. Exercises excellent professional judgment. Ability to multitask and manage large, complex projects. Adaptable to change in the organizational environment. Demonstrated follow-through and attention to detail. Experience in the services industry, with automotive or retail experience a plus Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including regular travel to corporate.
