We are seeking a creative and dynamic Content Manager to join our Marketing & Communications team. This role will be pivotal in crafting compelling content that resonates with external audiences while also supporting internal communications initiatives. The ideal candidate is a strategic storyteller who can translate complex concepts into engaging and informative content across various formats, including social media, case studies, feature stories, newsletters, fact sheets, and more. **Responsibilities**
+ **Content Development** : Create high-quality, original content for a variety of platforms, including social media, case studies, feature stories, newsletters, fact sheets, and internal communications.
+ Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with teams—including marketing, communications, business leaders and subject matter experts—to gather insights and develop accurate, on-brand content. Provide support for internal communications as required.
+ **Storytelling** : Craft narratives that highlight our company's portfolio and mission impact, share success stories, and strengthen our connection with our diverse audiences.
+ **Editing & Proofreading** : Ensure all content is clear, error-free, and aligns with brand guidelines and messaging.
+ **Content Strategy** : Partner with strategy teams and business leaders to understand goals and objectives, contributing to content planning and strategy sessions, bringing fresh ideas and creative approaches to meet business objectives.
+ **Analytics & Optimization** : Monitor content performance, develop metrics for success, and suggest improvements based on engagement metrics and feedback.
+ Other duties as assigned.
**Qualifications**
+ Experience: 7+ years in content creation, journalism, marketing, or communications—preferably in a B2B or government contracting environment.
+ Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field.
**Skills:**
+ Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
+ Ability to write creative copy for a range of topics and content types.
+ Ability to adapt tone and style for diverse audiences and formats.
+ Strong project management and organizational skills.
+ Excellent writing and editing skills, with a keen eye for detail.
+ Solid time-management and organizational skills.
+ Must be proactive and able to work independently.
+ Familiarity with content management systems, email marketing tools, and social media platforms is a plus.
+ Experience with SEO and analytics tools is a plus.
+ This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Herndon, VA.
