In this newly created role, we are seeking an experienced legal operations and contracting professional to join the Business Enablement and Alignment team in the growing Global Legal Operations (GLO) function. This role will report to the Director of Business Enablement and Alignment.
As the Manager, Contracting Resources, you will play a pivotal role in modernizing and streamlining Stryker’s contracting processes and resources. You will lead initiatives to implement and optimize contract lifecycle management (CLM) technology and other workflow tools, harmonize templates, and develop high-quality playbooks and guides that support Stryker’s business and legal teams. Drawing on prior experience working with contracts, you will ensure that Stryker’s contracting resources are scalable, efficient, and aligned with business needs. You will succeed in this role if you are as comfortable in the details as you are in the strategy and enjoy digging into the depths of a problem to create simple, efficient, and scalable long-term solutions.
What you will do:
Template Harmonization & Enablement Resources
Collaborate with contracting professionals and lawyers to develop, update, and harmonize contract templates, standard forms, playbooks, and business enablement guides that drive consistency, reduce risk, and streamline the contracting process.
Ensure resources incorporate best practices, regulatory and legal requirements, and business objectives, while maintaining consistency in style, language, and risk profiles.
Regularly review, update, solicit, and incorporate feedback to reflect evolving business needs, regulatory and legal changes, and lessons learned from prior negotiations.
Contracting Technology Administration
Translate detailed process maps and workflows to technology implementation, with a focus on front-end operation and administration of contracting technology.
Lead the ongoing administration and expansion of contract management technologies (e.g., intake and workflow tools, contract repositories, etc.).
Continuously evaluate and refine workflows and integrations to improve process efficiency, user experience, and data accuracy.
Partner with IT, Procurement, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of tools with existing systems and processes.
Maintain clear documentation of processes, workflows, and governance structures for auditing and continuous improvement purposes.
Change Management and Communications
Use data-driven insights to recommend enhancements, measure the impact of changes, and demonstrate the value of Stryker’s contracting resources to leadership.
Partner with lawyers, contracting professionals, and subject matter experts to develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and user-friendly reference materials about contracting resources and technology for users.
Communicate updates, improvements, and success stories across the organization to foster trust, transparency, and adoption of new tools and processes and champion the importance of standardized, technology-enabled contracting practices.
What you need:
Required
Bachelor’s degree
8+ years of work experience
4+ years of work experience in legal operations, contract management, or a related field
Preferred
JD or Master's degree is a plus.
Experience working in a global corporate legal department.
Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders in a global organization.
Demonstrated expertise in administering and enhancing contract lifecycle management (CLM) or related contracting technologies (intake, workflow, repository tools).
Proficient in MS Office applications and other emerging technologies.
$115,500 - 245,800 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
