The Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) Strategic Business Unit (SBU) has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, Contracts within the Global Patriot program area. We are looking for an experienced candidate to provide leadership for strategic Direct Commercial Sale (DCS) captures and program execution while providing oversight a small team of Contracts Professionals supporting the German/Netherlands Patriot portfolio. The German/Netherlands portfolio is primarily Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) for the development, production, and technical assistance of the Patriot system.
In this role, you will have direct supervisory responsibilities while also leading the front-end assessment of business pursuits, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract management, and significant customer activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment of contract requirements in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. You will need to utilize regular application of thorough business acumen and subject matter expertise to understand program performance requirements, provide guidance, and influence results in support of program and financial objectives.
Additionally, the Manager, Contracts is required to work closely with Program Management leadership, the Office of General Counsel, and cross-functional peers in support of program gate reviews, program management reviews, business strategy sessions, proposal reviews, risk management activities, and all other contractual related matters affecting the portfolio.
The successful candidate will work with both internal and external customers to ensure programs' performance, provide guidance, and influence outcomes to achieve desired results. The successful candidate must have a track record of success in DCS contracting including terms and conditions, contract execution, milestone payment plans and with an excellent financial background. The successful candidate will be expected to have the prerequisite skills to represent Raytheon independently on significant transactions while having ability to develop and maintain trusting relationships with complex customers.
What You Will Do:
Effectively communicate with internal and external customers to establish mutually beneficial relationships and influence business decisions.Implement strategies to improve acquisition timelines and customer pace of contractual actions.Investigate and resolve complex contractual matters by applying astute critical thinking, gathering detailed information, seeking creative contracting techniques, and proactively collaborating with relevant stakeholders.Provide strategic advice and guidance on numerous contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policy/procedure to mitigate risks and unauthorized changes.Review proposals to ensure proposed solutions meet customer requirements, represent a balanced risk/opportunity posture and deliver a financially sound business case while meeting company policies and standards.Some international travel will be required to meet with the customer.Qualifications You Must Have:
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years' experience. Direct experience in International Direct Commercial Sales will be considered in place of years of experience.Experience in DCS (Direct Commercial Sales) contracting and / or international contracts managementContracts Lead or direct engagement with external customersExperience in compliance with ITAR/EAR requirements or similar compliance programsThe ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearanceQualifications We Prefer:

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
