The Manager, Contracts & Billing leads a team that is responsible for the proper billing of customers. Ensures all policy and procedures adhered to a produces financial and billing reports to monitor billing. Oversees billing staff and ensures proper training and processing in accordance to billing policies.
The ideal candidate should demonstrate a detailed eye, and passion for accurate and compliant billing practices. This person will demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels within the organization. One will lead their team to ensure they provide support to our customers while ensuring partnership and collaborative fiduciary responsibility for QTS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES, other duties may be assigned.
Guides employee actions by researching, developing, writing, and updating billing policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines.
Assist with non-recurring setup fees to ensure accurate order entry in compliance with tax and accounting requirements, while providing advice and guidance to various teams on contract generation and essential requirements.
Enhances billing department performance by evaluating current methods, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing necessary changes to optimize processes.
• Provide enthusiastic, thorough onboarding support for Hyperscale customers’ administrative teams to discover their business requirements for invoice processing.
Implements billing procedures and closely monitors accuracy of billing data and timeliness to identify appropriate corrective actions, training and systems modifications.
Ensure timely submission of invoices to facilitate prompt collection and maintain efficient cash flow.
Proficiently utilizes available software daily to accomplish core and job specific duties.
Support of internal and external auditors.
Personnel development; staff meetings.
Manage daily workflow and assign work.
Demonstrates the ability to make decisions and delegates responsibility to assure high quality performance and efficiency.
Monitors and coordinates communication between Billing, Sales & Accounting.
Prepare month-end reports.
Coordinate month-end close.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Accounting/Finance Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Five or more years of experience in billing/contracts/accounting role.
Three or more years’ experience in supervisory role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Workday experience or other large ERP system.
Salesforce experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Excellent MS Suite skills including Excel, Word, Outlook and Access.
Ability to present, communicate initiatives, results, and analyses to multiple levels of management.
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Must be able to work well in a deadline-driven environment.
Must be flexible and have ability to supervise a small team.
