This position has a pay rate of $68,000 to $72,000 per year.

The Corporate and Community Engagement Manager is responsible for the corporate fundraising activities, strategies, and results in southeast Michigan, specifically in support of the metro Detroit Programmatic Hub. The role will build and manage a personal portfolio to achieve annual personal revenue raise.  The role focuses on cultivating relationships with corporations and small businesses that drive financial support for our mission, managing and growing a portfolio of corporate partners, and developing an impactful corporate and community volunteer program that creates deeper engagement and visibility for Samaritas.   

 

The Manager reports to the Senior Director, Corporate & Community Engagement and will work closely with the Executive Director, Fund Development and Grants. Samaritas offers a supportive, hybrid work environment with the flexibility of mostly remote work. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

Work with the Fund Development team and east Michigan program leadership to understand the organizational and program needs and strategies. Be a valued and active partner within the Detroit Hub. Corporate Partnerships:  Cultivate and successfully manage a personal portfolio of corporate partners to achieve $100K+ revenue goal. Foster relationships and create customized proposals and presentations to showcase partnership opportunities. Fundraising Strategy: Assist in developing and implementing comprehensive fundraising strategies targeting corporations and small businesses to secure financial support for Samaritas’ mission and programs. Identify and understand essential connections between corporate, individual, and community philanthropic opportunities and help the east Michigan team pursue cohesive strategies with significant return on investment. Portfolio Growth: Be instrumental in growing the corporate partner portfolio by identifying new prospect and expanding existing relationships to meet fundraising goals. Maintain active membership and participation in key community networking and leadership organizations, events, and conferences to advance the Samaritas brand, mission, partnerships, and pipeline acquisition efforts. Volunteer Program Development: Design and implement a corporate volunteer program that aligns with Samaritas’ mission, culminating in one or two impactful events each year. This program will enhance corporate visibility and create deeper engagement with our mission. Corporate Communications: Craft and manage the corporate communications newsletters, ensuring alignment with our messaging and outreach goals. Corporate Event Planning and Coordination: Plan and coordinate corporate level event activities that engage partners, enhancing visibility for corporate partners and Samaritas. Impact Measurement: Track and report on the effectiveness of corporate partnerships and volunteer initiatives, demonstrating the impact of external support on our mission and community, using the GalaxyDigital software platform. Mentor program volunteer coordinators. Ensure that fund development is carried out in keeping with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.  _________________________________________________________________________________

Job Qualifications

 

Education, Training, and Licensure/Certification

Bachelor degree in Philanthropy, Business, Management, Public Relations, Marketing, Journalism, English, or related field of study or equivalent experience preferred

 

Experience

Three to five years’ experience in non-profit fund development corporate giving, preferred within southeast Michigan, demonstrating a strong network and understanding of local corporate social responsibility (CSR) trends

 

Additional Work Requirements

Extended and evening hours often requiredAutomobile travel required. Valid unrestricted driver’s license with good driving record. Valid proof of automobile insurance. Use of personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement
