Job Description

Role Purpose:

The Manager of Corporate FP&A is responsible for managing financial planning and forecasting for NBCU Corporate Staff Functions. This role will have significant interaction with department heads and executive leaders, particularly through the budget and estimate cycles. In addition, the manager will participate in/coordinate ad hoc projects as requested.

This role reports to the Director, Corporate FP&A and sits alongside the Corporate FP&A group function which provides insight into all of NBCU’s businesses including Parks, Film and Peacock, and offers a unique overview of the wider NBCU portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for preparation and maintenance of budgets, estimates and long range plan for assigned Corporate HQ Departments, including expenses, cash flow and headcountManage closing process including journal entries, pacing, variance analysis reportingThis is a high-profile role with regular interaction with Executive level business leaders; this role will act as day-to-day liaison and partner to department heads and coordinators, developing good working relationshipsCoordinate and actively participate in financial results reviews with senior leadersCreate management reports and presentations on a routine and ad hoc basisOwnership to identify opportunities to implement process change and to create value added financial analysis for assigned Corporate HQ divisionsContinually review financial processes to improve overall efficiency and accuracy and drive effective financial forecastingPrepare regular operating reviews which are presented to EVP & Global Controllership LeaderManage and develop one Senior Finance AnalystParticipate in other ad hoc projects

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Finance or AccountingMinimum of 3 years of experience in Finance and AccountingHighly skilled in Excel and PowerPoint

Desired Characteristics:

SAP BW/BPC experience preferredExcellent interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organizationDemonstrated ability to synthesize and encapsulate complex data and information in order to build financial models and presentations to senior leadershipAbility to multi-task and prioritize work assignments and work well under pressureMust be accurate, highly organized with great attention to detailProactive approach to problem solving including analytical and information system skillsSolid work ethic and follow throughWillingness to improve processes and improve efficiencies

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
