Manager, Corporate Process Safety – Remote (Eastern Time Zone preferred)

The Manager, Process Safety will support the continuous improvement of Curia’s process safety capabilities. The individual will be part of the global environmental health and safety (EHS) team responsible for setting standards, developing culture and providing technical advice to business units.

Support the development of corporate process safety guidance Work with sites to improve their Process Safety Management (PSM) programs and procedures to ensure compliance with internal policies and local regulations Support the development of site process safety expertise and general process safety awareness Provide training, feedback, and coaching for site process safety subject matter experts Provide feedback to sites through audits, inspections and informal reviews to ensure that site PSM procedures are properly implemented Work with sites to identify risks presented by operations and propose recommendations. Where required, attend or lead process hazard analyses (e.g., HAZOPs) as PSM subject matter expert Occasional travelQualifications
Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline 3+ years’ experience in a chemical process industry with a focus in process safetyKnowledge, skills and abilities
Leading hazard reviews (e.g., HAZOP) Implementing relevant regulatory requirements (OSHA PSM, Seveso Directive) Application of process safety data to plant scale operations (e.g., thermal stability, reaction calorimetry, explosivity screening and dust explosion data) is advantageous Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees Self-motivated, able to work independently and prioritize tasks to meet timelines Work effectively with cross-functional teams across multiple sites and culturesPay Range: $101,000-126,000
