The Cross-Border team is a global team that plays a pivotal role in the company, focusing on the development and execution of Cross-Border business strategies. The Cross-border team leverages data, insights, and best practices from across travel, e-commerce and emerging verticals to develop and deploy initiatives, working across functions to significantly enhance Visa’s cross-border performance.

Reporting to the Head of Cross-Border, Asia Pacific, this role will be pivotal in redefining Visa’s Asia Pacific Cross-Border strategy and bringing it to market.
What a Manager of Cross-Border, AP does at Visa:
Strategy development: Support the development of Visa’s Cross-Border strategy for the region, designing effective client relationship and business development initiatives to significantly enhance cross-border growth
Project Management: Drive the program management of Cross-Border strategy in the region across targeted initiatives, fostering productive partnerships with market and function teams to drive cross-border performance outcomes
Data Driven Analysis: Conduct deep dive analysis to understand shifts in Cross Border volumes across Asia Pacific and Top Merchants, bringing critical insights that help Visa to react and respond appropriately to shifting market dynamics
This role will be involved in shaping the strategy and execution of cross-border initiatives such as:
Defining approaches for targeting cross-border rich verticals and segments, (gaming, education, stablecoin)
Developing strategies and tools to proactively identify, protect and grow the Cross Border portfolio, and assess market approaches for new acquiring programs
Driving a structured approach to scale Card Not Present (CNP) payment success and authorization improvement, working across merchants, issuers, acquirers, and in coordination with multiple solutions and delivery teams such as Client Services, Risk Solutions, Digital and Processing Solutions, and Advisory
Monitor Cross Border volume shifts in AP leveraging dashboards and facilitate appropriate strategic responses in collaboration with cross functional teams at Visa
Analyzing the impact of shifting Cross Border volumes across AP markets and merchants to drive insights that inform the right responses to shifting market dynamics
Ideating on enhancements to cross-border e-commerce products value propositions with Product, VAS and Pricing, and working with market teams on go to market execution
Supporting the growth of our Clients’ cross-border business through development and deployment of new tools, packaged capabilities and set-plays
Assisting in RFP responses focused on cross-border elements and managing pitch materials
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.
QualificationsSuccessful candidates will be highly adaptable, possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and able to effectively manage multiple sub-teams and workstreams. This role requires a high degree of comfort with ambiguity, creativity, and the ability to work across a series of stakeholders in different market settings and functional roles to understand client and market needs and cross-border capabilities. In addition, the candidate must be highly collaborative, strategic, analytical, customer oriented and bring a structured and disciplined approach to designing and implementing cross-border initiatives across the region.
