Manager, Data Engineering – Nike, Inc. - Beaverton, OR. Lead the delivery of scalable data and analytics solutions; implementing new and open source technologies; design and build reusable components, frameworks and libraries at scale to support analytics data products; lead and evolve data and analytics products; lead, Inspire, Coach and Develop team of engineers; partner with product managers and analytics leaders to help prioritize work; guide technology decisions that drive Nike standard methodologies; partner with other engineering teams across Nike, to collaborate on specific technologies and build out various data sets together; lead discussions to scale out data architecture to process large data sets, and solve various data challenges; and partner with enterprise platform and architecture, strategizing together to drive technical roadmaps and use standards and platforms at Nike. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the U.S., except from AK, AL, AR, DE, HI, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MT, ND, NE, NH, NM, NV, OH, OK, RI, SD, VT, WV, and WY.  

Must have a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Information Technology and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in a Engineering-related occupation.

Experience must include: 

Data Engineering management or leadership 

Data warehousing, Data modeling, Privacy, Governance and Data Architecture 

Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud platform tools 

Scheduling tools such as Airflow, Autosys etc 

Data warehousing tools, SQL, NoSQL, Amazon Redshift, and Snowflake 

Cloud Data platforms, such as EMR, Databricks 

Distributed technology tools, such as Spark, Presto, Scala, Python, Databricks 

Reporting & Analytical tools such as Tableau, Quicksite 

Building tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, CI/CD and automation tools
