Job Summary:
The Manager, Development Operations is responsible for all WMC Network gift processing, acknowledgments and gift receipting, invoicing and pledge reminders, expense tracking, and mailings. The position reports to the Director, Development Operations.
Responsibilities:
Primary role responsible for building daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and dashboards to support fundraising staff, finance department, senior leadership and the board of directors. This includes reports demonstrating progress toward goals as well as forecasting philanthropic support in future years Primary role responsible for updating and maintaining the centralized database, updating donor records, coding deceased constituents, importing/exporting data to/from other databases into Salesforce NPSP database Assist Sr. Manager to create and send communications through Marketing Cloud in accordance with Central Development Initiatives communications strategy and monitor tracking details Assist Sr. Manager in maintaining accuracy of contact information in database Supports Sr. Manager in generating outbound messaging and produces lists for mailing (letters, pledge reminders, patient discharge, etc.) Performs data cleanup, data audits and data integrity checks. Performs data appends and NCOA updates Track all department expenses, ensure proper forms are signed and sent to AP in a timely manner, and work with AP to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner Acts as liaison with other development areas and WMCHealth Network in relation to special projects. Serves as backup gift processor. Performs daily validation of gift processing batches. Reviews tax letters and acknowledgments prior to submitting for signature Manages acknowledgment refresh calendar and project manages the letter updates. Pushes updated letters to Sr. Manager to update in CRM. Qualifications/Requirements:
Experience:
3-5 years of experience working in development, required Exposure to health care strongly preferred Knowledge of leading Fundraising CRMs (Salesforce, ROI Solutions, Raiser’s Edge) as well as digital platforms (Marketing Cloud, Classy, Fonteva, CONGA) preferred Salesforce NPSP experience strongly preferred

Highly organized with the ability to work independently while demonstrating initiative, innovation, and flexibility Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact and communicate professionally with individuals at all levels of the organization Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications, including strong Excel and Word Strong knowledge of applicable IRS regulations regarding philanthropic contributions and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Strong knowledge of gift processing procedures, established record of database management, fundraising processes, and donor relations. Working knowledge of fundraising principles and practices desirable
