Manager, Digital Content Editor & Optimization

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Digital Content Editor and Optimization Manager to join our marketing team. This role is crucial in enhancing our online presence through strategic content creation, editing, and optimization. The ideal candidate is not only well-versed in SEO fundamentals but also curious and eager to learn and leverage evolving strategies and tactics such as Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO). You'll edit and produce a wide range of content, from webpages to white papers to press releases, ensuring it aligns with our brand voice and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and optimize compelling content that helps Asurion capture relevant web traffic, optimizing for traditional search as well as AI answer engines and voice assistants

Help shape content for webpages, public relations, social media, white papers and more

Utilize content management systems (CMS) to upload, tag, format, and publish content on websites and digital platforms.

Manage brand voice guidelines in internal writing tools.

Support cross-functional teams through content editing and quality assurance, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand guidelines across external touchpoints

Manage and maintain the digital newsroom.

Work with the marketing team to create content strategies that resonate with the target audience.

Analyze content performance to enhance visibility, engagement, and reach.

Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for content optimization and new content creation.

Stay informed on industry trends, content best practices, and emerging content marketing techniques to enhance our content approach continuously.

Utilize Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) techniques to ensure our content effectively answers user queries and enhances visibility in search results.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure content consistency and alignment with overall marketing strategies.

Qualifications:

3-5 years of experience writing and editing for various marketing channels.

Proven experience in content management, copywriting, and editing.

Strong understanding of SEO principles and writing best practices.

Proficiency in using content management systems (CMS).

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical skills to assess content performance and make data-driven improvements.

Experience publishing social media content natively and via CMS is a plus.

Curiosity and eagerness to learn and adapt to new digital marketing trends and technologies.
