The Manager, Distribution Strategy, ASPAC will support and partner on the execution of Hyatt distribution strategy across the region with an additional focus on China while working with teams from Commercial Services (sales, revenue management, digital, e-commerce) and operations for successful implementation. The Manager will lead/execute the new distribution initiatives including product, channels, and performance optimization.
• Manages relationships with 3rd party channels, ensuring alignment with the global strategy
• Assists in identifying new preferred 3rd party channels and their implementation
• Identify and implements tools and training which assist hotels in determining best in class channel mix to drive profitability and market share
• Works with regional revenue management and distribution teams to understand the dynamics of third-party distribution business and the contributing factors
• Assists with new openings to ensure sound distribution principles are implemented from the start
• Oversee and develop content efforts, including internal newsletter, reference guides, POVs on new products, tactics, and other materials as needed
• Helps conduct hotel level training and assist in high level presentations about the organization including updates on the latest hotel openings, innovations, offers and overall direction of the company for distribution partners.

Experience
• Minimum of 6 to 8 years’ experience in Channel Strategy, Distribution, Revenue Management, or 3rd party account management, preferably within the hospitality or travel sector
• Fluent in spoken Mandarin is required. Mandarin writing proficiency is highly preferred
• Strong experience in Asian markets preferred
• Previous global sales (account management) and distribution experience is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, equally comfortable in various cultures within the region and able to develop close communications and relationships with all properties and above property teams
• Good corporate role model, proactive, fair and approachable
• A passionate leader with creative and growth mindset
• High degree of personal and professional savvy and experience which instills confidence among all internal and external stakeholders
• Proven experience in strategy activation and project management
• Strong analytical skills including gathering, visualization and presentation of data

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, economics, hospitality management, or analytics
• Master's degree in Business administration (MBA) is a plus
• Computer Skills Needed to Perform this Job
• Superior Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) skills required
• Knowledge of PMS, RMS, and CRS systems a plus

• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time
