The Manager will be responsible for the development and ongoing management of high-quality early childhood curriculum and programming, including the tools, resources, guides, and supports for school staff. The position will also collaborate within the Education Department and across departments to support curriculum implementation and utilization in LCG schools. Fulfill other education-related duties as outlined by the Director of Educational Programming and CAO. Essential Functions: + Lead the continuing development, review and improvement of LCG curriculum to reflect research and advancements in early childhood education. + Ensure alignment of curriculum with state early learning standards, evidence-based practices, child assessment and research in early childhood education. + Design and develop professional learning frameworks and training for teachers to effectively utilize the curriculum. + Contribute to approvals and validation of LCG’s education program for state requirements, QRIS, grants, and accreditation. + Lead projects and assigned team members to excel in department objectives; provide staff with a clear sense of direction and purpose; communicate effectively and timely with staff. + Oversee projects from inception to completion, creating and adhering to timelines. Take responsibility for planning, managing, reviewing, and communicating expectations and results. + Collaborate cross-functionally within the Education Department as well as across other departments, including Marketing, Training, Safety and Risk, and Food Services. + Visit schools on a regular basis (2-3 visits per quarter) to observe implementation of educational programming. + Maintain a high level of knowledge in the field of early childhood education. + This position is remote; however, attendance is required at Support Central or in designated field locations on an as-needed basis to ensure necessary teamwork, personal interaction, and supervision. + Other duties as assigned. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has direct reports. Minimum Job Qualifications: + BA in early childhood education or related field required, MA strongly preferred + Minimum of five (5) years leadership experience in early childhood and/or curriculum development. + Demonstrated expertise in early learning approaches and pedagogy, including developmentally appropriate practice and current learning science. Travel: Variable, up to 25% Other Skills and Abilities Qualifications: + Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers. + Capable of working with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. + Effective communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal. + Proficient time management, organizational skills and ability to meet established deadlines. Compensation and Benefits: + Compensation based on position, education and experience.
