L3Harris, Communication Systems-West (CSW) is looking for an experienced Manager for our Electronic Warfare Signals and Control Software department within the Digital Design and Signal Processing group. The person in this position will manage a team of 10-20 engineers of multiple experience levels from entry level to mid-level. Because of the diversity of skills in the group, it is imperative that the Manager has thorough technical knowledge to make good staffing decisions and provide meaningful reviews and guidance. This engineering group performs implementation of signal processing and control software using various types of processors. Often this software directly interfaces with digital logic devices such as FPGAs. This group also provides digital design support for new business development, systems engineering, and product line engineering.

Management responsibilities include:

Coordination and management of all efforts assigned to the groupEnsuring best schedule and cost performanceTechnical review of all work done within the groupEnsuring technical synergy, competence, efficiency, and completenessStaffing assignments and coordinationEmployee career development and performance reviews Work forecasting and hiring coordinationBid and proposal support, staffing and reviewPoint of Contact for other engineering disciplines, programs, operationsLow-level software design related technical assignmentsGroup engineering processes and guidelines development and approvalAlso ensures process and procedures are followed correctly

Basic Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related engineering experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration1+ years of prior or current management / team lead / project lead experience as well as 5+ years of
EW, Wireless Comms or DSP related digital design experienceExperience in DoD accepted engineering development practices, processes, and documentationExperience with bidding, planning, and executing related engineering development effortsExperience with EVMS, cost proposal management systems, JIRA, and MS ProjectExperience with VHDL, C, C++, and MatlabExperience leading engineering project teamsDemonstrated responsibility/accountability for budgets exceeding $1MStrong written and oral communication skills

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $129,500 - $240,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
