Manager, Enterprise Learning and Development

This position would require a hybrid work schedule of 3 days per week onsite and 2 days remote out of our Brentwood, TN office location.  

The Manager, Enterprise Learning and Development manages daily operations for the entire enterprise learning and development (EL&D) portfolio to include corporate headquarters (FSC/Facility Support Center). Provides direct operational support for all EL&D functions to include CoreCivic University (CCU), field training operations, and enterprise learning and development. Maintains oversight parameters aimed at ensuring intra-departmental and cross-functional collaboration towards delivering EL&D programs.   Designs, develops, and executes new EL&D programs. Oversees compliance with applicable contracts, policies, procedures, regulations and standards related to EL&D activities.

Leads the development, implementation, and maintenance of Facility Support Center onboarding and in-service and new facility leader onboarding. In partnership with EL&D senior leadership team, coaches and mentors facility Learning and Development staff to include field training managers in processing training requests and scheduling pre- and in-service training, providing a transparent view into workload to maximum the effective use of resources and to ensure the senior leadership teams have clear visibility into the training schedules and outcomes.Researches, develops, and writes learning material to support new or existing EL&D programs.Audits and evaluates EL&D programs for compliance with company and facility policies and procedures, contract and applicable statutes, standards and regulations.  Identifies and coordinates with customers and external resources regarding the planning and delivery of specific EL&D development programs.Provides updated training information and makes strategic recommendations to EL&D leadership.  Identifies and assesses current and future training needs.Reviews curricula, instructor qualifications, materials and activities for EL&D and CoreCivic University.  Monitors report, schedules and plans.Manages Learning Management System data, including the registration process, course completions, and test & evaluation/assessment administration. In partnership with the EL&D leader, manages all departmental budget line items outside of salaries to include continuous management of gap analysis of budgeted verses actual expenses.  Plans and organizes the delivery of start-up /transition EL&D operations in conjunction with the facility management team, learning and development teams, and operational leaders in compliance with the requirements of applicable policies, procedures, contract requirements and standards.  Must be accessible during start-up and transitions. Assists facility Learning and Development staff in the initial set-up of training records as required by policies, procedures, contracts, regulations and standards to include individual training records for each employee, lesson plan materials, trainee test scores and other related materials and information for activations and transitions.Owns and leads processes for CCU logistics and planning to include all course materials and equipment for CoreCivic University courses, sessions, and meetings nationally.  Tracks shipments and resolves any issues with lost or non-functioning equipment.Manages data analysis of CCU program assessments. Creates reportable data from trends and themes observed.  Makes recommendations for future courses of action based on the data analysis.  Directs CCU trainee and facilitator calls, ensuring logistics and materials are covered and accounted for.  Ensures that facilitators and participants are given accurate and useful information on an ongoing basis.Attends CCU sessions to support a high-quality learning experience for participants.  Serves as the primary subject matter expert (SME) to address any concerns raised by participants, facilitators, and vendors.Provides other project assistance as needed to include direct onsite support for facility learning and development manager vacancies, curricula design, and facilitation for operational programs.Domestic U.S. travel is required.

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in an acceptable business-related field is required.Four years of Learning and Development is required. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required educational requirement.Two years of experience with Cornerstone's Learning Management System and corporate university support is preferred. Strong project planning skills associated with learning and development initiatives is preferred. Must demonstrate excellent customer service and support to both internal and external customers.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
