Manager, Enterprise Solutions

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:

Manage and lead the technical and functional efforts associated with Oracle business systems (Oracle EBS, Oracle Dashboards, and Oracle ASCP etc). Responsible for Managing and coordinating Oracle Business system's new implementations, modifications, upgrades/ enhancements, and ongoing maintenance to meet the growing business needs and improve the system's functionality. Mentor and guide the Oracle support team. Maintain systems availability and problem resolution.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Manage and lead the technical efforts associated with core ERP systems projects involving Oracle EBS, Oracle ASCP, and others to be assigned. Manage and coordinate new implementations, modifications, upgrades/ enhancements and on-going maintenance to Oracle and related systems. Lead and manage the day-to-day functional / operational activities of the Oracle applications team in business integration activities. Organize and lead projects in areas related to Oracle EBS and other systems as assigned.  Provide clear and concise reporting of project status regularly.Evaluate and recommend current and future Oracle E-Business Suite changes to meet organizational needs. Manage and maintain systems availability and problem resolution of Oracle EBS on a 24x7 basis. Design, implement, and support Oracle ERP projects.Mentor and guide the Oracle team on ongoing projects and support activities.Maintain strong working relationships within IT and business organizations. Lead meetings and presentations for the information to Senior Level Managers with in IT and Business. Developing and monitoring the delivery of efficient and effective system solutions to diverse & complex business problems.Design, follow, and enforce change management processes for Oracle.Serve as IT coordinator for regular Sarbanes-Oxley compliance audits.Participate in designing and testing a Disaster Recovery Plan for Silgan

EDUCATION:  

Required: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field (or equivalent education, training and related project experience)

EXPERIENCE:

Required:

Must have 10+ years overall experience in designing, configuring, and delivering ERP Applications in complex environments, including at least 5 years with an Oracle EBS platformLed/managed complex projects, including a budget, quality, scheduling, change management, and risk management responsibilities. Designing, implementing, and supporting Oracle ERP projects.Managing a virtualized team of five or more, including consultants/contractors. Experience with hands-on complex application development and managing projects involving Oracle database applications and technologies like Oracle RDBMS on UNIX, SQL, PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, Workflow, Discoverer, BI, and Oracle Applications 11i.Experience with multiple implementations of the Oracle EBS suite. A solid understanding of functionality in Financial and Manufacturing modules is required.Functional and technical experience designing future state business processes and implementing change management.

Preferred: 

Experience with Oracle R11i & R12Experience with user interface and visualization

SKILLS:

Required:

Ability to lead complex projects, including budget, quality, scheduling, change management, and risk management responsibilities. Designing, implementing, and supporting Oracle ERP projects.Project management with the ability to prioritize and execute project tasks.  PMP certification is a plus.Proven ability to design, configure, and deliver Oracle EBS Applications.Working knowledge of Oracle RDBMS on UNIX, SQL, PL/SQL, Forms, Reports, Workflow, TOAD, and Oracle Applications 11i.Knowledge of reporting technologies such as Excel4apps.Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.  Must be a solid team builder and be able to communicate and work effectively across all company levels.

Preferred:

Experience in working with the manufacturing industry preferred.Experience with multiple implementations of the Oracle EBS suite. Solid understanding of the functionality in financials and Manufacturing modules (AP, PO, AR, FA, GL, INV, BOM, WIP, OM, Shipping, HR, etc.).
