**Job Description**
The Environmental Sustainability Manager will take a hands-on approach in leading the sustainability team to provide utilities and environmental data collection, analytical expertise, and program improvements in coordination with the firm’s sustainability strategy. The Environmental Sustainability Manager will have the ability to lead, be agile, and create new actionable ideas. Collaborate with driven, talented associates and leaders across our business lines to build and implement data insights and integrate sustainability factors into operational decisions in support of our international corporate footprint. This position will primarily report to the VP, Facilities and Environmental Sustainability while also being accountable to the VP, RJF Sustainability Strategy and Reporting.
**Responsibilities:**
+ Solid foundation of the business structure, data (internal and industry sets), operational and technical design, and strategic direction of the organization to build the necessary solutions and ask the right questions.
+ Have the ability to lead and develop a growing team of sustainability professionals. Work alongside, collaborate, and dive into the details to develop team members and solutions.
+ Champion and communicate a ‘data driven’ culture and focus on delivering value to the business with committed effort to improve processes through team and business partner collaboration.
+ Analyze and report on firm-wide utilities and environmental data and measure performance against established targets and internal/external benchmarks.
+ Lead annual environmental sustainability reporting efforts (e.g., Corporate Responsibility) and assists marketing efforts in support of firm goals.
+ Manage efforts to calculate Scope 1, 2 & 3 greenhouse gas emissions data for the international RJA portfolio.
+ Determine utilities and environmental data and impacts through research and processing of a wide range of data from various business units including but not limited to RJA leased property information, corporate travel and purchases, employee commuting, and investments.
+ Prepare management reports with utilities and environmental information in a format that can be quickly reviewed by management.
+ Maintain a centralized repository of utilities, greenhouse gas emissions, waste, recycling, expenditures, fiscal savings, and related environmental data.
+ Lead Sustainability Committee meetings and annual Sustainability Expo events.
+ Champion sustainability improvement measures, evaluate new technologies including determining and verifying return on investment, and recommend best practices as applicable.
+ Act as lead administrator for the firm’s ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager account, maintain accurate system information, and obtain ENERGY STAR certification for eligible facilities.
+ Support Facilities and Corporate Real Estate project performance tracking and verify expected savings.
+ Develop 'data stories' and communicate findings to our business partners, including senior management. Ability to communicate various data research, leverage data visualization and storytelling in a way that can be understood and actionable. Create communications and methods to deliver actionable data insights with the ability to measure results.
+ Build strong partnerships within the organization and consult with business partners and subject matter experts to understand business needs in order to integrate data and analytics into the business. Apply data science capabilities to help overcome issues/challenges, breakdown data silos, and connect the disparate and industry data sets.
+ Identify new data science/mining/research tools, techniques, and industry vendors. Maintain and evolve current knowledge of data techniques and research.
+ Review and evaluate processes and implement improvements as appropriate.
+ Keep current on energy technology trends. Provide recommendations to management and include short payback projects for capital planning.
+ Have the ability to perform human resource management activities, including identifying performance problems and approving recommendations for remedial action; evaluating performance; and interviewing and selecting staff.
+ Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**

+ Sustainability concepts, policies, and processes
+ Basic knowledge of utility systems and current energy technologies and trends
+ Basic principles and practices of energy accounting
+ Scope 1, 2 & 3 greenhouse gas emissions and calculations
+ Basic knowledge of building electrical and mechanical systems
+ Environmental rules and regulations
+ Business intelligence and data visualization (Tableau preferred)
+ Building metric driven interactive reports or complex dashboards
+ High proficiency with languages for data manipulation (i.e. SQL)
+ Proficiency with other statistical analysis or programming languages
+ Knowledge and understanding of data in: Microsoft Dynamics CRM; Eloqua; SiteCore; On24
+ Industry data sources and the ability to work with large data sets
