Job Description

K.S.A.'s:

Bachelor’s degree in health care administration, business, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.Minimum of 3 years of related experience; leadership experience strongly preferred.Prior experience working in an academic hospital setting strongly preferred. Strong organizational and project management skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision.Strong analytical, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills required.Working knowledge and skills in Microsoft computer software applications and database technologies.Ability to establish priorities and react promptly to a large variety of requests and needs, sometimes in stressful situations.
 

Job Duties:

Supervise Department of Pediatrics Faculty Affairs and Faculty Development Coordinators.Support annual review process for 600+ Pediatrics faculty membersProvide oversight and support for Departmental Appointment, Promotion and Tenure process.Serve as a central resource for the Feinberg Faculty Portal and Northwestern Elements.Support faculty recruitment processes in coordination with Division leadership, Feinberg School of Medicine, Stanley Manne Children’s Research Institute, Lurie Children’s Human Resources.Plan, manage and lead monthly New Faculty Orientation; serve as resource for new faculty in their first months on staff.Work with Senior Director and the Office of the Department Chair administrative team to support faculty recruitment efforts initiated by the Office of the Chair (e.g. Division Head searches).Partner with Division and Department leadership as a project manager for departmental projects and initiatives, such as annual work plan goals.Oversee departmental representation at national society meetings (e.g. Pediatric Academic Societies)Manage department cost center associated with Faculty Development/Faculty AffairsProvide project management, and administrative support to Associate Chairs for the following central administration programs:Faculty AffairsClinical Practice DirectorsOther Associate Chair initiativesProvide oversight for the annual compliance requirements for faculty, such as flu vaccine and TB screening. Collaborate with the Office of the Department Chair administrative team in the development, coordination and promotion of departmental events and meetings.Additional duties as assigned.

Pay Range

$76,960.00-$125,840.00 Salary
