As a Field Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of pre-sales Solutions Architects and Solutions Engineers. You will work on a mix of strategic and also enterprise customers in our central EMEA region. In your role your team will support these customers addition to the existing account teams to help accelerate the journey of our customers to adopt our technology.
Your experience partnering with the sales organization will help close revenue with the right approach whilst coaching new sales and pre-sales teams to work together. You will guide and get involved to enhance your team's effectiveness; be an expert at communicating complex, business value-focused solutions; support complex sales cycles, and build relationships with important partners in large corporations.
You will report to the AVP Central, Field Engineering Manager.

Manage an existing and growing pre-sales team in Germany - hire and mentor the team Build a motivated collaborative culture within a hyper-growth team to embody and promote Databricks customer-obsessed, teamwork and diverse cultureSupport increased return on investment of SA involvement in sales cycles Ensure a solution and value-based selling within the field-engineering organizationDisplay an understanding of needs and revenue potential for accounts in the assigned regionEngage with key customer executives to build and strengthen strategic partnershipsEnsure close alignment with partners and internal services to secure implementation strategies within accountsContinue to build Databricks' brand in partnership with Leadership team, Marketing and Sales teams across the Central regionWhat we look for:
Experience in managing a team of successful Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS professionalsHave experience mentoring and scaling technical teamsSuccess in instituting processes for technical field members to lead efficiency and product focusAbility to partner and collaborate with Sales and other cross-functional leadersExperience developing teams to operate in a fungible, interchangeable capacity across a region will be advantageousPassionate about data and AI market and Cloud software models and being able to deliver a strong POV on the value of Databricks solutionsStrong communication skillsTechnical or consulting background either in Data Engineering, Database technologies or Data Science Fluent in German (native speaker).
