POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager assists the Financial Controller in the development and maintenance of appropriate, accurate and timely financial and management reports; management of the Fixed Assets, and General Ledger; provision of valuable and useful financial information and advice to senior management and user departments in making business and operational decisions; and treasury and banking management.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops and produces accurate and timely financial reports to be used for internal management reporting and decision making (e.g. Senior Executive Management and Business Unit management).Manages day-to-day cash flow activities for the properties.Develops and maintains appropriate reporting systems and processes while ensuring the needs of internal and external customers are satisfied.Manages an effective and efficient month-end reporting process, utilizing increased automation/technology.Achieves reporting timelines.Liaises with external and internal auditors to meet reporting deadlines, cost objectives and resolution of accounting and audit issues.Provides financial analytical support to F&B outlets to manage outlets’ profit margins.Ensures the highest levels of service to Business Units and Departmental management in the provision of financial reporting that satisfies their business needs.Develops, maintains, and reviews policies and procedures pertaining to Finance.Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.Continuously drives system automation to improve efficiency.Identifies opportunities for cost savings and process improvements that have a positive impact on company financial performance.Stays abreast of industry and accounting standards.Adopts and implements new approaches and practices to meet changing circumstances.Maintains external relationships with banking partners, auditors, and vendors.Manages the interface between the various sources of financial information (e.g. Revenue Accounting (Gaming and Non-gaming), Cage and Credit, Fixed Assets, Budget and Forecasting) to ensure accurate and timely management reporting.Clearly understands the strategic Vision of the Company and how it impacts on the Business Unit/function.Anticipates and assesses issues, risks or opportunities facing the Company and applies effective, creative solutions.Ensures the     development   of his people    through recruitment,   training and development.Professional development requirements of direct reports are met.Performs ad hoc projects and duties as assigned by senior management.Recommends and/or executes management policies to hire, transfer, suspend, layoff, recall, discharge, re-assign, or discipline employees.

QUALIFICATIONS:

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or FinanceRecognized professional qualification in accounting is preferredMinimum of 5 years' relevant accounting experience, experience in a Supervisory roleSolid understanding of general accounting principlesIndependent, self-driven and result oriented attitudeGood command of English languageProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with the experiences in ERP applications and good working knowledge of accounting software systems (preferably Workday)
