The Platform Financials - Financial Operations team is an important part of Grab, providing backend support for both incoming and outgoing financial transactions. We work with multiple partners like banks, payment gateways, and other financial institutions to ensure smooth operations. Our team also resolves partner issues promptly, ensuring our financial systems run smoothly.
Get to Know the Role
As a Platform Financial Operations Manager, you will support Grab's business activities within the payments space. You will handle a variety of tasks with a focus on financial reconciliation, discrepancy resolution, and process optimization.
You will report directly to the Head of Platform Financial Services, and the current work arrangement is hybrid, with the office located in Ortigas, Pasig City.
The Critical Tasks You will Perform
You will:
Reconciliation and Reporting: Manage the reconciliation process by cross-referencing internal records with reports from merchant partners and financial institutions to identify any discrepancies. Generate regular reports on reconciliation activities, financial discrepancies, and resolution outcomes for management review.Discrepancy Identification: Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies or irregularities promptly to maintain data accuracy.Settlement Management: Oversee the settlement process, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of discrepancies by collaborating with relevant stakeholders.Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including finance, accounting, and operations, to ensure compliance with financial reconciliation processes.Payment and Refund Dispute Management: Resolve disputes raised by passengers and merchants by investigating issues, communicating with involved parties, and finding fair resolutions.Process Improvement: Lead projects aimed at optimizing processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the team.QualificationsWhat Skills You will Need
Financial Reconciliation: 5+ years of experience in financial reconciliation, with the ability to cross-reference records and identify discrepancies.Technical Proficiency and Data Analytics Skills: Proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel and other data analysis tools. Ability to solve complex financial and analytical problems and identify irregularities in financial data.Team Management and Collaboration: Experience managing a team, monitoring their activities, attendance, and productivity. To engage collaboratively with all partners.Keenness to Details: Mindset with a focus on maintaining accuracy and data integrity.Problem Solving: Well thought approach to problem solve, able to handle and interpret data to resolve multiple incidents.Additional InformationLife at Grab
