Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

The Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis plays a key role in the organization’s integrated planning and strategy goals and provides critical analyses and data-driven insights to the Pizza Hut Digital & Technology team. This role will work with cross-functional partners within the technology business as well as the central finance & strategy team to define goals, create financial plans/models, establish KPIs, ensure sound execution of plan, and communicate progress with key stakeholders. The position requires strong analytical, organizational, and oral and written communication skills, attention to detail, someone that can thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can influence others even without direct authority. This role has significant exposure to the PH D&T leadership team (LT).

Responsibilities: (includes but not limited to):

Planning and Analysis (50%) Support achievement of PHUS D&T’s financial targets for revenue, G&A, and operating profit by actively participating in building the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts. Forecasting responsibilities will include revenue planning, employee-related costs (salaries, bonus, benefits, capex rates), project costs, license & vendor costs, depreciation, T&E, and soft costs. Other responsibilities will include identifying and communicating risks and opportunities, period/quarterly forecasting & analysis, preparing periodic & quarterly cause of change walks, reviewing G&A spend with leadership to promote stewardship and achievement of PHUS D&T’s operating profit target. Capex Management (25%) Lead capital planning and timely capex creation in partnership with project leaders and the Control team. Regular review of open capex’s to identify additional opportunities for capitalization. Forecast impact of depreciation. Tech Funding Agreement & KPI Reporting (15%) Summarize insights and implications in presentations and other communications to leadership. Responsibilities include preparation and presentation of monthly KPI reporting deck. Own cost center reporting process. Periodically distribute and review cost center reporting with budget owners to find ways to “spend smarter” and drive corrective actions. Explore tech-driven ways to automate the process. Partner with the Finance and Governance manager to ensure all leaders are up to date on savings requirements by year, timing of cost changes, and updating all relative models. Ad hoc Reporting (10%) Own strategic projects, requests and/ or analysis as needed. Opportunity to work with Pizza Hut HQ FP&A on special projects as needed. Working Relationships This position has direct 1:1 interaction with PHG Finance (including CFO), the PH D&T LT, and other leaders across multiple functions (e.g., Digital, Technology, HR, Legal, IT Security.

Required Qualifications:

You will be required to attend the Plano, TX office 3 days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. 4 or more years of progressive corporate experience working with financial management. Specific industry, multi-national and/or financial planning experience is a plus. Undergraduate degree from accredited 4-year university in Finance, Accounting or Business Management required. Proficient/Advanced P&L modeling skills. Proficient/Advanced in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. General knowledge of corporate P&L’s (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement, etc.)  “People first” mindset. Demonstrated ability to effectively multi-task and generate actionable recommendations. Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality (employee-related expenses) Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. High degree of self-motivation, initiative, integrity, and strong influencing style. Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all layers of the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

MBA or CPA preferred. Experience with Hyperion, JD Edwards (ReportsNow Query Application) a plus.

Salary Range: $122,000 - 143,600 annually + bonus eligibility (if applicable). This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
