Position Overview:

The Corporate Accounting team is looking for a Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting who will be a key contributor to the Company’s SEC reporting processes and technical accounting conclusions. This position reports to the Senior Manager of Financial Reporting and has a wide range of responsibilities integral to the corporate accounting function. Looking for a talented individual with the ability to grow and take on positions of increasing responsibility.

Essential Functions:

Assist in preparing and reviewing consolidated financial statements and disclosures included in SEC filings (8Ks, 10Qs and 10K) and quarterly earnings releasesAssist in preparing and reviewing all corporate and divisional financial data supporting the SEC reporting process including footnote disclosuresPerform research on technical accounting topics in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) in the United StatesPrepare documentation supporting technical accounting conclusions for various areas including, but not limited to:ASC 606 - Revenue recognition and contract reviewASC 805 - Purchase accounting for acquisitionsASC 842 - Lease accountingASC 815 - Derivatives and hedgingASC 280 – Segment reportingOther areas including implementation of new accounting pronouncements, as necessaryContribute to ESG-related financial reporting initiatives including CSRD complianceContribute to large-scale projects to implement process improvements and internal controls for financial reporting and technical accounting. Work cross-functionally to manage change and enhance communications with stakeholders.Assist in managing relationship with external auditors to support the Company’s accounting positions and conclusions.Support SOX compliance with internal controls associated with the SEC reporting processDrive continuous improvement of the Company’s SEC reporting processes

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accountingCPA requiredMinimum 4-6 years of public accounting experience auditing SEC registrantsRecent experience with FASB Accounting Standards Codification research and SEC disclosure requirementsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyProven process improvement skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to work well within a team

Preferred Qualifications:

Manufacturing industry experience a plus

Working Conditions:

Hybrid (office 3x per week)

Salary:

The pay range for this position is $100,900 - $160,800 annually.  The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.  In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus or short-term incentive program.

At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
