Join Our Team as a Fleet Manager!
Are you ready to take on an exciting role that bridges multiple fleet requirements across our USA Regulated Water and USA North American Commercial Services business units? As our Fleet Manager, you'll play a crucial part in the effective lifecycle management, procurement, maintenance, and repair of EPCOR’s fleet in the United States.
In this dynamic position, you'll lead and implement continuous improvement projects for Fleet Services, enhancing safety, utilization, and vehicle availability while reducing operating costs and streamlining operations. You'll manage fleet process improvements across EPCOR, ensuring that processes and procedures are well understood and followed within our operational areas. Your efforts will also support change management and align with the fleet services delivery model established at EPCOR Utilities Inc.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the delivery of business units’ capital plansProviding ongoing fleet maintenance, metrics, reporting, and analysisEnsuring compliance as requiredYou'll collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify key issues and opportunities, implementing best fleet management practices to achieve outstanding results within 3 to 12 months.

What you’d be responsible for
Strategy Development. Provide input to the Senior Manager plans and directions, ensure an appropriate understanding of EPCOR and the Senior Manager strategy throughout Fleet Services and ensure on-going effective positioning and appropriate relationships between Fleet Services and other positions across EPCOR.Develop, implement and review stratum appropriate (3 – 12 month) business plans within the context of the Senior Manager business plan (including mission, vision, values, strategic positioning, operational plan and resource plan). Work with Operations and Finance to develop and manage Business Unit fleet lifecycle replacement and growth capital programs. Ensure that Business needs are reflected in the Fleet Services plans and activities. Identify the necessary capital and operating budget requirements for the provision of EPCOR’s fleet. Provide costing, expense tracking, forecasting and variance reporting.Provide quantitative and strategic analysis supporting regulatory applications. Apply specialized professional fleet knowledge to ensure innovative results and act as a subject matter expert providing specialized advice on regulatory matters.Working with an external Fleet Management Company, provide information in the development and delivery of fleet metrics, analytics, and dashboards to support the optimization of EPCOR’s fleet management program. Analyze and identify issues impacting operational performance, and financial results. This includes providing inputs and subject matter expertise to support the development of fleet charge out rates with the goal of optimizing fleet cost recovery and allocations. Establish improvement programs to address areas of opportunity based on the results of the analysis.Leverage data to develop, implement and continuously improve Fleet processes to ensure compliance to policies, standards, regulatory requirements and ensure mitigation of risks. Support change management as required to enhance process adoption, operational effectiveness and efficiency and customer satisfaction.Provides support and works along-side US departments, and other lines-of-business, leading company-wide activities, which requires the influence of individuals outside of direct control. Ensures business unit specific needs and challenges are met through the transition to a new fleet services delivery model.Approves expenditures within approved resource plan and budget up to prescribed limits.Approves all Fleet specific standards and practices within EPCOR and Senior Manager context and prescribed limitsWhat’s required to be successful
Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree required. Other formal fleet related certificates or training will be considered.5+ years of experience in fleet management. Experience in utility industry desirable. Intermediate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) skills. Ability to identify and analyze opportunities for process improvementsStrong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively and efficiently communicate with all levels of an organizationAbility to work effectively in a cross-functional setting, Ability to critically think through a problem, effectively communicates the problem, solve the problem and overcome barriers to successAbility to provide Subject Matter ExpertisePhysical Requirements
