Manager, Flexible Load Management Programs
Location: US Remote (Preferred Locations- California, Oregon or Washington)

To support our continued growth, we are currently seeking a Manager for our Distributed Energy Resources and Flexible Load Management (DER and FLM) Line of Business to help transform and continue to innovate and scale ICF’s utility program offerings nationally. The goal is to bring analytical insights and operational rigor to designing and implementing the next generation of flexible DSM programs as a contributing pathway to decarbonization and electrification.  This includes managing and aggregating distributed resources such as Smart Tstats, solar, storage, water heaters and EV charging to extract value at the retail and wholesale level. As a manager, you are expected to leverage evolving trends to design and implement Flexible Load Management pilots and programs to utilities bringing added value to both our clients and ICF-run programs. 
 
You will work with the senior leadership and regional teams to help leverage our best-in-class analytics to support the continued development, sales, and delivery of innovative flexible load management pilots and program designs.  Additionally, you will help direct the implementation of standardized approaches and best practices to ensure optimized, consistent, and cost effective delivery of these offerings as we develop them to scale.

What you will be doing: 

Manage existing and new projects, including helping to develop more strategic, long-term relationships with our clients through understanding their needs and the context in which they operate Work with our clients in a consultative selling environment, helping to shape our offerings Support proposal generation activities, client management and deliverables Work with senior leadership and key internal ICF stakeholders to further evolve the offering components and analytics needed to answer our clients’ needs Work with leadership to maintain existing and develop new technology partner relationships Support competitor research and how it potentially influences offering development and/or sales Support Offering and Regional Managers in the design and development of marketing, sales, and implementation materials.  This will include but not be limited to: offering collateral, proposal content, and key stakeholder training materials Develop an understanding of offerings and help implement standardized approaches and best practices to ensure optimized delivery and cost effectiveness of offerings 

 
What we need you to have (minimum qualifications): 

Bachelor's degree in business admin, environmental science, energy efficiency, or a related field 5+ years of experience working with utilities in demand response or Distributed Energy Resources , including working across organizations within the utility or related experience

Master's degree in business admin, environmental science, energy efficiency, or a related field Ability to clearly define and document business processes and requirements Ability to work collaboratively and cohesively in a challenging, fast paced team environment while also able to work well autonomously with minimal direction Meeting facilitation skills Experience in leading start-up organizations and change management Ability to balance and prioritize multiple projects/tasks to meet goals, deliverables, and deadlines Ability to conduct consultative sales meetings with utilities, including working across organizations within the utility Energy project and/or experience launching products Have experience with and/or understand the concept of taking a new product or service to market Ability to generate compelling communications in a way that will support the development of marketing/sales/implementation collateral Creative problem-solving capabilities Strong analytical, and decision-making capabilities Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$92,986.00 - $158,076.00
