What will you do?
A day in the life of a Manager Financial Planning and Analysis at VF looks a little like this.
Reporting to the Director of FP&A, you will be a key finance leader and partner across the organization to drive our brand strategy through the development of financial modeling and analytics that deliver meaningful insights into business performance. The Manager of FP&A will work closely with leadership team to formulate strategic plans and build annual budgets and monthly forecast. This position is responsible for communicating the reasons behind financial performance as well as identifying new opportunities and recommendations to improve business effectiveness and efficiency.
Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.
Lead the monthly forecast, the monthly reporting and analysis, the annual operating plan, and the strategic plan processes. Provide variance analysis and determine cause of change.Partner with the Operations, Sales, Merchandising and Accounting teams to deliver accurate revenue, margin, and expense forecasts. Understand and explain any variancesSupport the margin management process by providing analytics & reporting around pricing, Cost of Goods and product/channel mix.Maintain and develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives. Develop and track ROI models for strategic investments.Partner with Sales & Marketing to drive performance marketing KPI’s and forecast models for our digital segment to align with strategic initiatives.Identify and initiate on opportunities to automate, streamline, and improve workflow and reporting.Elevate key findings and analysis to finance and business leaders to impact business decisions.Provide ad hoc analysis to finance and business partners throughout the organization.What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 5 years of experience and professional achievements.
The foundation skills you will need in this position are:
5+ years of experience in the FP&A function, preferably in the retail or consumer-related industries. Retail and or manufacturing experience a plus.Bachelor Degree in Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative/analytical disciplines. An MBA is a plus but not a requirement.Enthusiastic “can do” attitude with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment & to be a team player.Knowledge and experience in financial concepts, budgeting, and forecasting with strong financial modeling skills.Detail-oriented with exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills which would enable thoughtful analysis and interpretation of financial results and identification of key business issues underlying the numbers.Ability to partner across functions and drive process improvements and business results.Strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way.Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, data management and reporting skills.Experience with ERP systems a plus.What do we offer you?

Hiring Range:
$93,312.00 USD - $116,640.00 USD annuallyIncentive Potential: This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential. Specific details of the additional compensation eligibility for this position will be provided during the recruiting and interview process.
