The purpose of the Manager, Franchise Finance is to partner with Franchise organizations on the health of their business and to identify areas of concern/ improvement. Key responsibilities will be building relationships with key Franchisees, Lenders & Investors, conducting strategic reviews of Franchisee financials, business valuation, and executing our portfolio optimization plan through acquisitions/divestitures activities. Role also focuses on analyzing and driving improvements in overall system health as it pertains to store level economics, franchise capability, and market/regional strategies.

Franchise Growth
Develop and maintain relationships with restaurant brokers and franchise lenders across the US to actively promote buying and selling opportunities within the Pizza Hut brand. Support franchisees who are looking to grow with identifying opportunities and connecting with potential capital funding sources to fund their growth. Organize annual Lenders’ Day. Partner with Pizza Hut Development to assess new growth opportunities for the brand. Develop, test and execute incentives that encourage strategic franchise growth that is aligned with Pizza Hut’s overall brand strategy and vision. Partner with Pizza Hut Operations and Development to ensure that all new franchisees meet Pizza Hut’s rigorous standards for New Franchise Candidates. Ensure that all new franchisees are aligned to Pizza Hut’s growth strategy, brand vision and commitment to operational excellence. Manage and execute the franchise Ownership Change process including franchisee to franchisee transfers/re-sales, and refranchising/acquisition initiatives. Create comprehensive approval memorandums supported by detailed cash flow models, key financial ratio & trend analysis, as well as an extensive review of current and future capital investment needs. Build/Optimize financial models to value franchise businesses in financial distress. Perform cash flow and balance sheet analysis and recommend optimal solution.Restaurant Economics
Monitor franchisees’ financial performance by compiling and reviewing audited/internal financials statements. Review key financial ratios (Rent Adjusted Leverage, Fixed Charge Coverage Ratio) to determine risks to the franchise system and offer strategic insights. Lead a cross functional team focused on strategic initiatives to improve restaurant economics, focused on sales and margin growth as well as operational efficiencies. Active role with teams designed to uncover, identify, and/or create productivity opportunities or cost savings for franchisees. Represent Pizza Hut Finance as the primary cross-functional liaison for Operations strategic growth projects, as well as Development Closure Mitigation. Onboard franchisees to iLumen to enable quarterly reporting of franchisees’ stores P&Ls.Ad Hoc
Support the Director of Franchise Finance in preparing detailed reports for Pizza Hut’s Leadership Team on YTD progress against strategic goals. Support Pizza Hut Finance Team as needed in ad hoc projects and various strategic initiatives.Required Qualifications:
You will be required to attend the Plano, TX office 3 days a week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Bachelor’s degree required. 5+ years in financial analysis, specifically in the field of mergers & acquisitions, business valuation, financial modeling (NPV, IRR, DCF) required. Previous experience with modeling complex business issues in order to influence decisions with a data driven point of view. Experience with presenting to senior leadership teams. Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence external creditors, franchise business advisors, and legal counsel is a must. High motivation, intellectual curiosity, logical thinking and a desire to have a large impact on our organization. Must face complex business issues with persistence and stamina. Must be comfortable dealing with ambiguous business challenges. Clear communication, organizational and strong interpersonal skills are a necessity. Ability to partner well with cross functional departments and work with all levels of management, including senior management. Ability to efficiently manage workload well with shifting priorities. Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast paced and deadline-driven environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong/advanced Excel skills. Strong system/technical skills, including knowledge of Microstrategy, People Soft, Hyperion, and proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite.Preferred Qualifications:
MBA Preferred – Finance, Accounting or EconomicsSalary Range: $122,100 to $143,600 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
