As a FECOS Inventory Control – NPI at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for overseeing the management of the FECOS NPI teams. These teams are primarily responsible to support NPI production operation execution, focusing on pilot line management to ensure NPI wafer starts, output, samples delivery and cycle time are meeting commitment.
You will be responsible for collaborating with Front End Planning and Manufacturing stakeholders to deliver NPI tactical solutions and strategic BKM sharing across the network as well as management of pilot line to meet output plan on time. This will be achieved by developing metrics that clarify deliverables, and by providing front-end manufacturing experience and expertise and influencing key business partners (NPI, Supply Chain, SMAI, Product Engineering, TD, IE etc). You will build effective global team by distributing work and learning opportunities functionally and regionally, and by empowering team members with the authority to make decisions at the appropriate level and geographically. You will deliver competitive results by spearheading innovative solutions, removing barriers and assisting in troubleshooting and escalating issues.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Metric Management
Lead the development, standardization, benchmarking and continuous improvement for NPI metrics, business processes and BKMs for the FE SIC network.Govern FE NPI operation ground rules and Fab disciplines and ensure Fabs are meeting audit requirement.Partner with sites on establishing aggressive but achievable goals and develop roadmap to drive execution to meet the goals.Optimize the Inventory and Line Performance for the FE Network
Able to analyze line performance and provide line direction through concept of Line Management and Inventory Management to meet NPI business plan.Fluent in the basic concept of weekly wafer starts and wafer outs business process.Forecast potential roadblocks in NPI inventory management and develop mitigation plans with the site NPI Managers.Collaborate with Area/Shift Production, Engineering, and IE to continually improve NPI metrics (wafers starts, wafer out, samples delivery, cycle time)Lead proof-of-concepts and facilitate deployment of BKM reports and automation to improve fab/ probe area efficiency and productivity.Develop manufacturing science concepts to NPI line management and NPI inventory scheduling.Participate in the WW SIC forums, facilitate NPI network meetings and sustain/audit existing BKMs and business processes in the network.Manage, measure, and monitor projects to ensure deliverables and deadlines are met.Identify and address NPI production line knowledge gaps through production leadership training.Ensure all group’s training roadmap is maintained. Focus on developing leading-edge skills for pilot line management and preventing isolated skill sets that risk business continuity.Create an environment of motivation to foster global team member’s engagement to the fullest of their potential.Promote and model the use of automation, analytical and systematic thinking processes.Supply Chain Management
Maintain open and regular two way communication with Supply Chain teams to understand upcoming Die Mix and Pull-in changesLiaise and partner with Supply Chain teams to develop plans that support NPI Qual and Sample schedule to meet customer demand.Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field of study or equivalent experienceIntermediate knowledge of the 300mm semiconductor manufacturing process is preferred.1-2 years experience in Inventory Control/Production Planning/Line ManagementDemonstrated components of effective leadership in interactions.Has depth of understanding and ability to manage of worldwide business process. Able to adopt a business process approach in worldwide networks.Has depth of understanding on project management to manage worldwide projects.Has high business savvy to work with business partners and maintain good communication to create win-win relationship.Ability to escalate critical issues and communicate with upper management.Working Location: Micron Sites
