Job Description

FTZ World Services LLC has an immediate opening for a knowledgeable individual to assist in providing daily oversight of FTZ transactions, as well as provide administration, compliance, and consulting services.

Key responsibility is to provide FTZ consulting services to prospective and existing clients for both Managed Service and Self-Filing clients.  Manage and train a team of individuals to conduct the daily FTZ operations for managed services clients, software support, compliance review, site visits, and office administration functions. 

Responsibilities:

   Managed Services:

Oversee the daily FTZ Operation of all FTZ Managed Service clients.Prepare and submit periodic reports required of FTZs.Manage and train a team of individuals on FTZ requirements.Participate on periodic status calls with the FTZ project team, leading the calls when necessary.Develop and implement best practices.Oversee testing phase or “pilot” during implementation.Develop Standard Operating Procedures for daily FTZ operations.Daily auditing of CBP documents prior to submission to CBP.Maintain recordkeeping procedures and protocols for FTZ managed services.Interface with CBP, including Officers, Supervisory Inspectors, Port Directors, and ACE account representatives.Interface with client providing high levels of customer service.Interface with client’s service providers, including brokers, forwarders, and carriers, providing high levels of customer service.Daily analysis and resolution of inventory discrepancies and other data errors.Daily validation of CBP information interfaced to the FTZ system.Comply with the FTZ Operator’s Manual for each client and provide updates as necessary.Comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines.Responsible for accuracy of light accounting support, billing, and collection.Responsible to maintain all company documentation and permits in order.Use of personal vehicle might be necessary to visit prospects, clients, CBP, outside meetings and office business needs.

 

FTZ Consulting Clients:

Assist in preparing the application to the FTZ Board, and the application to activate to CBP.Prepare FTZ Feasibility studies.Conduct Compliance Reviews and Site Visits for existing FTZ clients, ensuring compliance with FTZ regulations.Prepare Manuals and/or Training Materials to train the client’s employees on the Regulatory Requirements for FTZ Activation.Assist in Business Development activities, including but not limited to reviewing marketing material, generating proposals, and conducting webinars and related material.Represent FTZWS within the NAFTZ, including committee participation and Conference attendance.Represent FTZWS at trade shows/conferences as needed; Participate in speaking roles when available.Use of personal vehicle might be necessary to visit prospects, clients, CBP, outside meetings and events.

 

Qualifications

Required experience:

Must have two years’ experience in managing daily operations of an FTZ.Must have previous supervisory experience.Must be proficient with at least one FTZ software application.Must have working knowledge of the CBP regulations and the CBP FTZ Manual.Must have customer service experience.Must evidence excellent organizational skills.Must evidence excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must evidence excellent leadership skills.Must be honest, dependable and confidential.Must be able to work independently with minimal managerial input.Must consistently demonstrate initiative, positive attitude, professional mannerisms and commitment to personal, team and company goals.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Power Point. Licensed Customs Broker preferred.Bachelor’s degree required, or equivalent work experience.Travel will be required.Fluent in English and Spanish
