The base pay scale for this position is $81,000.00 - $123,375.00. In addition, this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: scope of role, level of experience, education, accomplishments, internal equity, budget, and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. REPORTS TO: Director, Development Operations
THE POSITION
The Manager, Gift Administration is a key leader within the Development Operations team directly responsible for formulating and implementing policies and procedures for the successful recording, maintenance, acknowledging, documenting, and reporting of charitable contributions to HSS. The Manager will partner with the Director to establish and maintain data integrity standards and practices with an eye on building efficiencies and ensuring quality customer service for donors and internal stakeholders.
The Manager reports to the Director for Development Operations and will supervise two Development Associates.
THE DEVELOPMENT DEPARTMENT
The development office raises $80Million per year on average to advance the HSS mission. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages all aspects of gift administration including serving as a resource and primary lead on matters of gift processing and policy for internal and external constituencies.Oversees gift entry and data quality, transaction accuracy and manages customer service related to the HSS Foundation’s incoming charitable contributions.Reviews and reconciles transactions and cash reports and receipts daily.Develop, maintain, and monitor the acknowledgement process to meet department expectations of personalized and timely communication.Responsible for creating policies, procedures, and training.Provide reporting for endowments, account balances, and gift receivables.Conducts pledge review and reminder process quarterly.Ensures regulatory compliance with the charitable gift accounting policies and reporting standards. Monitors and understands the IRS regulations as they pertain to gift acceptance, processing, and receipting, and to 501(c)3 organizational operations.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree required.5+ years of related experience required, preferably in an academic medical center development office or other complex nonprofit environment.Preferred experience with the following systems: The Raiser’s Edge 7/NXT; Luminate Online, Omatic, and banking via lockbox.COMPETENCIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
