The Manager of Grateful Engagement supports the implementation of Holy Cross’ grateful patient and family philanthropy program. This role implements implement service-line focused fundraising as well as directly liaises with Holy Cross clinicians. This front-line fundraising role oversees the Foundation’s donor engagement and stewardship programs and manages a portfolio of approximately 100 donors, focusing on those giving up to $1,000 annually. The Manager of Grateful Engagement works closely with program consultants contracted to accelerate Holy Cross’ implementation of the program.

Responsibilities:
The Manager of Grateful Engagement will work directly with the Director of Development, Annual Giving and Engagement and the Chief Development Officer to execute a grateful engagement program to support the strategic direction of Holy Cross Health.
Plans, implements and manages a comprehensive patient and family philanthropy program, including donor strategy, clinician relationships, communications/messaging , and volunteer engagement.Plans, implements and develops training initiatives of physicians, nurses and clinical staff to strengthen and expand referrals with grateful patients and their families.Participates in development strategic planning, communications strategies and serves as an organizational liaison to annual, major and planned giving and other philanthropic channels.Manages a portfolio of approximately 100 donors, focusing on those giving up to $1,000 annually.Manages donor relations and stewardship activities, including acknowledgement processes, recognition programs and cultivation/stewardship events.Assists in the tracking and monitoring of donor stewardship plans.Working with philanthropy operations, tracks and reports progress on key performance indicators for donor engagement.In collaboration with foundation and marketing/communications teams, collects patient/donor stories to be distributed to inspire additional individual giving.Engages and partners with third-party vendors as necessary.Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
A four-year college degree is required. Minimum 3 years’ experience in philanthropy is required. Demonstrated success in healthcare fundraising, including working with clinicians and patients to generate philanthropic revenue. Working knowledge of donor relations and stewardship tools and processes Experience in using donor database management systems; Raiser’s Edge or Blackbaud CRM is preferred. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Superior interpersonal and customer service skills. Must be computer literate with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications. Demonstrated initiative to work independently and learn new skills, resourcefulness in problem solving, and collaborate productively on teams
Pay Range: $ 35.41-$53.12
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates.
