Job Summary - Manager, Growth Markets

The Manager, Growth Markets, drives the statewide new business sales team in the small, mid and large group markets. This critical leader drives field support to team members through internal and external relationships and collaboration. Through strong problem-solving acumen and opportunity analyses, this leader works alongside other sales management team leaders to develop statewide solutions to meet evolving marketplace needs.

This role further develops strategies that build upon Priority Health's unique strengths and creates ways to differentiate Priority Health in the marketplace.

Essential Functions - Manager, Growth Markets

Provide leadership and oversight for the statewide new business sales team for growth markets.Maintain strong relationships with agents, brokers and consultants across the state of Michigan. Ensure prompt issue resolution for all distribution partner issues. Provide visible leadership across growth markets, including ongoing cultivation of relationships in Southeast Michigan.Collaborate and negotiate with interdepartmental leadership and assess factors that impact the client services department and create strategies and solutions to ensure that retention goals and targets are met. Initiate action plans to improve services and processes as appropriate.Serve as an integral member of the Sales Leadership Team, always bringing new ideas and looking for new opportunities. Establish outstanding participatory partnerships with other departments within Priority Health.Work with underwriting counterparts to ensure competitive and profitable investment and pricing strategy is executed.Lead the overall development of sales automation strategies that increase efficiency, drive new distribution channels, and ensure maximum profitability for Priority Health.Leveraging Priority Health’s data assets, continually monitor quote volumes and close ratios by agency, competitive position, contract size and sales executive.Manage segment’s sales budget and budget related activities including regional sponsorship opportunities that support regional sales strategies. Monitor SalesForce activity while holding team members accountable for timely and accurate activity input.

Required Bachelor's Degree Marketing, business or related fieldPreferred Master's Degree Business administration or related field3 years of relevant experience Management Required1 year of relevant experience Progressive experience in managed care or health insurance sales with understanding of ASO market. Required
