Consumer Insights Manager

As Consumer Insights Managers, we represent the voice of the consumer within IFF and help to build powerful insights driving innovation and adding value to our clients and consumers. IFF Consumer Fragrances North America is looking for a curious, passionate and experienced manager for the site in Holmdel, NJ, to support and optimize our Home Care and Fabric Care categories. Reporting to the Consumer Insights Senior Group Manager, you will help identify and translate data-driven, actionable insights along with competitive and market analyses into more effective innovation and collaborate with key stakeholders to develop clear and strategic fragrance offerings. You will also manage consumer testing across multiple categories, collect test data for statistical analysis, interpreting and communicating test results and efficiently manage all resources in the department.

Responsibilities:

• Drive both qualitative and quantitative creative research to create and champion strategic recommendations based on data, market trends and consumer facts

• Synthesize research findings into actionable insights for the Home and Fabric Care teams, backed by robust data

• Present Consumer Insights research, insights and recommendations internally and to external customers

• Analyze existing data to uncover fact-based insights and partner with key sales, marketing, and creative teams to develop holistic customer offerings

• Provide training to marketing and sales to ensure that key insights are understood and can be effectively leveraged to secure customer briefs as well as promote CI capabilities to both Account Managers and directly to customers whenever needed

• Brief vendors and assess proposals against aims, objectives, and budgets

• Deliver against the company and team goals and timelines, tailoring research approaches accordingly

Who you are:

• 5-7 years of relevant work experience - quantitative research experience a must

• Analytical and creative mindset with knowledge of innovation landscape

• Must be an independent, strategic, and creative thinker who is a strong team player and willing to take on additional responsibilities as necessary

• Ability to work in a fast-paced ever-changing environment

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills

• Self-motivation and the ability to juggle an array of tasks

• Advanced skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Statistical software such as JMP or XLStat

• Degree in Statistics, Market Research, Marketing or Psychology

Preferred:

Master in Statistics

Progressive thinker

Knowledge of leading edge quantitative and qualitative methodologies

Foreign Language knowledge a plus (Spanish, French)
