Job Overview

Ensures adherence to institutional and external policies, quality standards, and legal regulations. Promotes accountability and compliance within the Release of information unit, billing, and auditing processes.Provides guidance to staff, resolves operational issues, monitors workloads, and implements process improvements.Oversees the training and development of staff to ensure competency and adherence to compliance standards.Coordinates and collaborates with other departments to address coding and billing compliance issues.Analyzes departmental operations and recommends adjustments to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Qualifications

Demonstrated expertise in health information management (HIM) compliance and Release of Information standards.Up-to-date with JCAHO requirements, institutional policies, and quality improvement practices.Proven ability to manage staff, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions effectively.Strong ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operational and compliance issues.

Core Skills

Staff Supervision: Conducts performance evaluations, oversees training, and ensures team alignment with department goals.Communication: Leads group and individual meetings, keeps staff informed, and collaborates with cross-functional teams.Process Improvement: Proactively refines workflows, introduces innovations, and implements changes to enhance efficiency.Project Management: Coordinates and leads special projects, ensures milestones are met, and maintains departmental alignment.

Additional Information:

Location: Hybrid; 2-3x a week on site at 633 Third Ave, New York, NYSchedule: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST, Monday with Friday Reporting to: Associate Director, Hospital OperationsPay Range: $98,500.00-$157,600.00
