GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
The Manager Human Resource Applications manages a team of analysts responsible for identifying business requirements and designing and implementing technology solutions that meet the needs of the business. This may include maintenance, enhancements and large-scale projects.
As the Manager of HR Applications this person will be responsible evaluating and prioritizing requests in partnership with the business to build out product and project roadmaps. This role will be responsible for resource management to support all maintenance and approved project activities impacting HR applications and partnering with project managers to align on timeline deliverables, risks and dependencies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Analyzes software functionality across systems to solve complex business problems; Oversees a team of Business Analysts that collect detailed user requirements from customers and converts requirements into design documents.
2. Accountable for making sure all documentation and project artifacts are completed in alignment with company methodologies
3. Assists in the development and establishment of policies, procedures, and standards for the application design process.
4. Partners with development, quality assurance, operations, security and/or infrastructure teams to confirm alignment on maintenance and support activities.
5. Performs the personnel administration for direct reporting positions including training, recognition of strengths and weaknesses, and employee development.
6. Collaboration and coordination with coworkers on projects, peer reviews, and project schedules.
7. Vendors management across all Human Resourcesf applications. Is the support and liaison between vendor technical support and customer (end user).
8. Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
9. Adheres to and maintains development standards; Provides support to existing systems both custom and vendor supplied.
10. Provides testing and review strategies for new and existing systems.
11. Responsible for 24/7/365 support of critical systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Broad knowledge of such fields as accounting, marketing, business administration, human resources, etc. Equivalent to a four year college degree, plus 7 years related experience and/or training, and 4 years related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
