The UHealth system at the University of Miami has an exciting opportunity for a Manager, HR Communications. This position is located in the UM Medical Campus, Health District.
SUMMARY
The Manager, HR Communications (H), manages the development and execution of communication strategies in furtherance of the organization’s mission and goals and collaborates with other departments to ensure a unified message. The incumbent supports the coordination of communication efforts across UHealth and the Miller School of Medicine to ensure messaging to the internal stakeholders are aligned and prioritized and tactics are managed and implemented to reach short and long-term goals and priorities.
CORE RESPONSABILITIES
Manages and coordinates projects through the Human Resources leadership using department resources, including but not limited to content creation, creative services, web services, media relations and social media.
Develops and implements strategic internal communications tactics to achieve stated goals. Provides communications support to all areas of Human Resources in the development and execution of communications related to projects and initiatives.
Participates in round table sessions, focus groups and other listening tours to gather input, aggregate themes and integrate into HR strategic and action planning, ensuring a constant loop of feedback to employees.
Supports the development of employee communication programs and materials to facilitate awareness and drive desired changes across the workforce.
Identifies and pursues transformative approaches to internal communications in support of the University’s mission, and ensures internal communications promote employee engagement and a culture of belonging.
Supports the development of websites that reflect best practices in usability, accessibility, user-focused navigation, and readability.
Maintains information databases, tracks, measures, evaluates, and reports achievements of internal and external communication goals.
Maintains effective working relationships with external partners, such as agencies, producers, designers, writers, printers, media to execute marketing initiatives.
Works independently to manage projects, execute key messages and themes as well as supporting evidence that advances the tripartite mission of the Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with University policies and procedures.
Ensures employees are trained in controls within the function and on University policy and procedures.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Experience:
Minimum 4 years of relevant experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Attitudes:
Knowledge of business and management principles.
Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.
Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications may be considered.
