Job Summary:
The Inbound Transportation Manager will lead GameStop’s International and Domestic Inbound transportation operations, driving efficient, cost-effective, and customer-focused logistics in this segment of the supply chain. This role is instrumental in managing inbound freight from PO consideration to arrival at DC or Store for direct to store shipments.  This position must ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and trade regulations and quickly advise and adjust business direction and stakeholders on the dynamic tariff landscape. This position will oversee carrier relationships, assist in negotiating contracts, and develop data-driven strategies to achieve operational excellence, financial goals, and sustainability initiatives. By collaborating cross-functionally with quality and timely communication to internal team and external teams this position will help shape the future of transportation at GameStop.

This position will sit onsite 5 days per week in Grapevine, Tx

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day transportation operations, including scheduling, routing, and planning for inbound shipments.Monitor carrier performance and establish KPIs to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.Collaborate with internal teams including: DC and refurbishment operation teams, merchandising, in stock, and private label, to align transportation activities with business needs.Supervise and control import declaration activities and maintain compliance with the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations and other relevant trade compliance regulations.Monitor, track, and communicate status updates of inbound containers, linehaul, and airfreight to key stakeholders.Support development of tools to monitor and add controls were required to minimize risk of loss, delay, or to provide a lower cost structure in transportation.Manage relationships with transportation providers.Participate in negotiations on pricing and contractual matters with vendors, carriers, and contractors to secure favorable terms that align with business objectives.Help develop and manage the IB transportation budget, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals.Continuously evaluate IB network and work to identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.Analyze spend and recommend strategies to reduce costs and improve efficiency.Serve as a recognized subject matter expert in Import and transportation, making informed process, and business decisions and recommendations, based on a comprehensive understanding of industry practices, standards, and trends.

Must Have Qualifications

4+ Years of transportation experienceExperience with U.S. Customs regulations, classification determination, and ability to use multiple tools for information gathering2+ years of experience with Ocean Freight including experience with managing customs brokers, freight forwarders, and ocean freight companies. Bachelors degree in a relative fieldAnalytical skills to assess transportation market trends, evaluate carrier performance, and make data-driven decisions.Expert level Microsoft Office and excel skills.Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.Data driven decision maker with a high level of curiosity to investigate continuous improvement possibilitiesAbility to manage clerical inputs and modifications with minimal errors while keeping stakeholders informed timely.
