Provides operational leadership and manages the Infection Control program to reduce risk and occurrences of healthcare acquired conditions through advancement of evidence-based infection prevention programming across MH. Coordinates and manages Infection Prevention colleagues and activities across MH, including MH Hospital Group and MH Ambulatory Group. Establishes policies, procedures and objectives for infection prevention programs and incorporates findings into Quality Improvement efforts. 

Qualifications

Education:

·         Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Public Health or related field required.  
Licensure/Certification/Registry:

·         Licensed RN in the State of Illinois with recent certification

·         Certification in infection prevention and control (CIC) through the Certification Board of Infection Control and Epidemiology (CBIC) required.
Experience:

·         Minimum of three years infection prevention experience required.

·         Minimum of three years hospital experience required.

·         Working knowledge of accreditation, regulatory requirements such as The Joint Commission (TJC), and Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).

·         Data collection and visualization experience required

·         Leadership experience preferred with general knowledge  of budgetary, project management, and program development experience
