**Overall Job Summary**
The Manager of Initiative Management is responsible for supporting the Tractor Supply Company’s Continuous Improvement (CI) program. This position will lead and manage a number of discrete cross-functional initiatives that align with TSC strategic priorities. Position is critical to the Company's efforts to improve asset productivity, increase resource efficiency, and reduce costs. Includes extensive involvement in the identification of opportunities, program design, and the development of new processes (through facilitation) as well as the implementation and ongoing management of the developed processes (through extensive interaction with process owners and users).
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Min 5%)**
+ Significant interaction with Company leadership and team members in supporting implementation of improvements identified during the continuous improvement event. Includes on-site meetings, conference calls, and extensive coaching on benefits and sustainment Apply a structured business architecture approach and methodology for capturing the key views of the enterprise.
+ Plans and facilitates continuous improvement (TVS) events in order to maximize the effectiveness of Company resources, processes, and technology to drive sustainable results
+ Extensive support of post Event Project Management. Includes verifying Metric results, providing assistance in post event opportunity integration and coaching on the development of actionable counter measures
+ Intellectually curious and thoughtful partner in identifying through analysis, sizing, and scoping organization improvement opportunities
+ Manage the overall direction, coordination, execution, and implementation of specific projects (process improvements) ensuring sustainment of project goals
+ Involvement with creation and delivery of CI training with the goal of continual learning throughout all levels of the Company with respect to CI and LEAN principles
+ Identifies and implements ways to simplify and organize the CI process, including development of and accountability for long term growth of the CI program
+ May perform other duties as assigned
**Required Qualifications**
Experience: 5+ years career experience with LEAN, previous (minimum 3 years) in facilitating continuous improvement events.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field. Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.
Professional Certifications: Black Belt or PMP/PMI certification a plus

+ Demonstrate strong problem solving, communication, organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills (required)
+ Ability to effectively work with others at all levels of the organization (required)
+ Ability to speak to and present to groups (required)
+ Ability to work independently, positively handle conflict, and work in a fast-paced environment (required)
+ Ability to write policies, procedures, and executive summaries (preferred)
+ Display detail-oriented approach to work (required)
+ Ability and proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office products (required)
+ Ability to manipulate data to drive and expedite project analyses and completion (required)
+ Experience in a transactional or retail environment desired
**Working Conditions**
+ Normal office working conditions
+ Occasional travel to stores, distribution centers, and other business locations
