The Manager, Internal Communications, Disney Entertainment Television, has deep knowledge and expertise in multiple facets of the broadcast and streaming business, spanning entertainment, marketing and advertising, employee outreach and technology.

Through strategic and effective storytelling and partnerships with key internal stakeholders, the role focuses on elevating the company’s creative culture, deepening employee engagement and bolstering a positive work experience across the television segment and shared services. The role is integral to the Internal Communications team’s position as the source, voice, thought leader and conveyor of the corporate brand to 15,000 DET employees.

The ideal candidate has experience in corporate communications and working with senior executives to communicate the strategic flywheel and tactical synergies behind the company’s business goals.

Responsibilities

Lead the DET newsletter’s editorial vision and execution, ensuring alignment with brand voice, culture, and strategic goals.Develop and craft compelling internal narratives that highlight DET values, foster engagement, and drive organizational success.Collaborate with the Visual Communications team to develop creative concepts for video featurettes that showcase executive, employee, and talent interviews, along with key company events.Find creative and innovative ways to expand storytelling by leveraging internal channels including enterprise tools such as Viva Engage and experimenting with new formats and mediums.Build and maintain strong relationships with senior executives and cross-divisional leaders to elevate their work and celebrate key business highlights and employee spotlights through internal platforms.Analyze content performance using data insights to refine strategies and optimize engagement.Evolve the newsletter’s visual design to match the advancement in editorial quality, enhancing readability, creative interest and overall visual appeal.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to cover inter-departmental events and create engaging, high-impact content.Lead team meetings and brainstorming sessions to develop holistic communication strategies.Support event planning and execution to enhance employee engagement and cultural initiatives.Oversee the daily publication of articles, MDT homepage updates, and weekly newsletter distribution.

Basic Qualifications

5-7+ years’ experience, preferably in the streaming TV and digital media space with a focus on entertainmentCommunications, PR, journalism or equivalent experienceCreativity, diplomacy, and ability to juggle heavy volume of diverse projects, including both strategic and tactical assignmentsStrong verbal and writing skills, with demonstrated ability to effectively and rapidly deliver information in a complex, multi-business global companyAbility to pivot and manage change in a professional mannerCreatively problem solve when dealing with ambiguity or challenges

Education

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, journalism, communications or related field

The hiring range for this position in California is $111,000 to $140,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
