The E.W. Scripps Company is seeking a Manager, Inventory and Estimates. This role is responsible for stewardship of Wide Orbit Media Sales (WOMS) inventory and audience estimates for Scripps local media properties.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Supervise a small team of remote Data Analysts responsible for WOMS data entry, inventory and audience estimates of station and network programming for sales efficiency and revenue maximization.
Work with the research management team to set and monitor performance standards including turn around and accuracy.
Maintain awareness of internal customer expectations monitor satisfaction and throughput.
Schedule and track work for the team to ensure adequate capacity for pace of demands.
Provide continuous performance assessment and feedback including quarterly formal assessment.
Train new Analysts and advance the analysis skills of the team.
Ensure team provides timely, accurate and effective data entry and analysis based on past data, information and research knowledge.
Ensure media audience ratings are populated accurately to ensure program audience crediting.
Verify and quality check the team’s data entry and and estimates and coach the team for continuous improvement.
Become directly involved in data entry and analysis as needed to keep pace with demands.
Other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
BS/BA in related discipline preferred or equivalent years of experience
Generally, 3+ years of experience in related field preferred within a sales or consumer insights environment.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
Personal computer skills with emphasis on Wide Orbit Media Sales
Knowledge of audience estimate process with media audience rating system and/or comScore audience data
Excellent written and verbal presentation skills
Must be well-organized, self-starter and detail-oriented
Must be a team player, working collaboratively in a team environment, while supporting multiple stations within region of responsibility
