The Inventory Control Manager will over-see all aspects of inventory control efforts and inventory personnel in a state-of-the-art distribution center in North Las Vegas, Nevada. The IC Manager will implement cycle counting procedures, analyze physical inventory, establish and maintain inventory discrepancy investigations, work with operations to develop and improve processes and procedures, and generate appropriate reporting to communication key control metrics for the facility.
What You'll Do• Maintains consistent processes and procedures that support key inventory controls. (Cycle Counts, Adjustments, Shipping cut-off and Systems syncing)
• Monitor and track in-house damage levels and work with operations to implement programs designed to reduce in-house damage
• Manage and track all adjustments
• Collaborate with operations to understand and explain root causes for adjustments
• Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff for remediation efforts to reduce issues found in root causes
• Ensure that reports are monitored and maintained to provide feedback to operations for improvements in inventory accuracy (aged cases, locked product, excessive quantities, cycle counts, etc.)
• Provide timely feedback to Managers and Supervisors regarding operational accuracy
• Effectively leverages reporting tools to meet inventory control needs (Including Webi, Excel, PowerBI, SCI)
• Oversees and leads a team of Supervisors, Leads, inventory control associates.
• Plan and allocate resources around workload and maximize resources for optimal results
• Conduct daily inventory cycle counts
• Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
• Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
• Prepare, generate, and submit key Sox control inventory reports; review reports monthly with management
• Collaborate and nurture positive relationships with other teams including operations, finance and accounting
• Generate innovated solutions to support advance DC operations and new control challenges
• 7+ years of experience in a warehouse environment, with emphasis on inventory control processes and methods
• Prior experience within a Distribution Center environment
• Prior experience with transportation or logistics
• Prior experience with an automated environment
• Prior experience with inventory SOX requirements
• Responsibility with hiring, training, and disciplinary actions
• Experience in an Omni-Channel Distribution environment processing Wholesale, Retail and E-Commerce orders is highly desirable
• Experience in mentoring and coaching employees on job performance
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
• Strong working knowledge of WMS (Manhattan preferred)
• Strong analytical skills, proven ability to pull reports and generate executive summaries as requested
• This position is fully Onsite. Able to work onsite.
