Job DescriptionThis manager will build and lead a team in the expert application of statistical and qualitative methods for optimizing inventory settings, policies, and practices. This leadership role focuses on applying statistical analysis and business knowledge to refine inventory parameters to meet strategic inventory and working capital goals. As a key leader, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Supply/Demand planning, Merchandising, Category Management, Sales to enhance the planning and execution systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the application of statistical analysis and business insights to optimize inventory parameter settings, utilizing statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, Minitab) to analyze large data sets and define inventory optimization settings.Develop and implement inventory management and SKU Lifecycle policies, processes, and standards across locations.Oversee the system maintenance and execution of store stock assortments and SKU lifecycle in alignment with business objectives.Ensure communication and validation of strategic inventory levels and working capital objectives.Develop standards for tracking and monitoring inventory performance against established objectives.Collaborate with supply and demand planning teams to update key inventory parameters and ensure effective integration into planning and execution systems.Employ retail excellence in merchandising standards while maximizing inventory turnsDefine and configure parameters for inventory optimization technology toolsets (e.g., SO99, i2, Manugistics, IBP/APO).
