Roles and Responsibilities

Delivering, discussing and reporting on the IO BU (Immuno-Oncology Business Unit) operations and financial conditionsAnalyzing the financial statements and data to provide insights about the financial performance of the Business UnitEvaluating and quantifying a strategically aligned plan, for a defined period of timeServe as a business partner to the Business Unit’s leadership Team (Business Unit Head, Marketing, Sales, Business Insights & Analytics), which requires to understand the strategy, investment needs, and support driving resource allocationUsing analytics to identify variances and root causes and prepare creative solutionsReport actual results, prepare forecasts, and risks & opportunities based on the financial performance / analysisRecording, adjusting and reconciling financial transactions and events according to professional accounting standardsMonthly closing and management of financial reporting accurately in a timely manner

Background and skills required

Minimum 3 years work experience in Finance or any analytical job such as management / IT consulting (required)Proven track record in their career (required)Strong power point and advanced excel skills (required)Written and verbal presentation skills - able to present in both Japanese and English (required)Qualification in the “Areas of Competence” listed above (Highly preferred)Good command of accounting and understanding of internal controls (preferred)MBA/CPA (or equivalent), internal/external audit, USGAAP/IFRS and SAP knowledge are a plus (preferred)Experience working in a Multi-National company (preferred)Experience with Pharma industry (preferred)BMS Values: Accountability, Urgency, Passion, Innovation, Integrity, and Inclusion (required)

BMS has a diverse occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work.
